Depends on where you get your tattoo.

Yeah, your foot is the most painful place to get a tattoo, and no piercing will compare, save genital piecring. I got one on my bicpe, and yeah it hurt, but not that bad. It depends where you get your tattoo, as far as how painful it will be. A good rule is “Wherever you are ticklish, or the closer the bone, the more the pain on your tattoo.” And I know lip piercings dont hurt that much, when it comes to piercings. Its always the healing that hurts for piercings though. I had my tongue pierced, and the actual piercing didnt barely hurt at all, but the healing was torture.

In my humble opinion though, girls shouldnt get facial piercings of any kind, except for their ears.

lol, yeah the lower bit is, but I had my tattoo done close to the shoulder, and the only place it was hard to take, was on the back of my arm.

lol, well in some places close to bone, very few, it wont hurt TOO bad, like elbow, very little in the way of nerve endings there. But akle, wouldnt be TOO bad, but I wont lie, it’s gonna hurt.

Anyone that says ANY tatoo didn’t hurt, LIES. They’re trying to act tuff. I am personally addicted to tatoos, cause its a rush. But when you get one, it feels like youre getting a very precise very intense sunburn, very slowly. Some places it just hurts more. I.E. the MOST painful places to get tattoos, except for genitals, is the skull and foot. Least, would probably be the stomach, and the calf. Then again, some people are just more sensitive in those places.

One is enough to speak from experience from tattoos. I have 2, one took a one 1 hour sitting, the other took two 4 hour sittings. I have a lot of friends with tattoos. One with some on his skull, one with foot, pretty much everywhere. But it only takes one trip to become an expert on tattoos. Well, at least, it did for me. I researched it and looked into different types of inks and whatnot.

I do have one tip for everyone out there, thinking bout getting a tattoo. Get a physical picture of the tattoo you want, and carry it around with you for at least a year, if after that year you are still as psyched about getting it, go for it. If not, ditch the photo, and look for something else.

I have 7 tattoos and 13 piercings… it’s an addiction. It depends on where you get it and your pain threshold. Personally, none of my tattoos hurt, they actually felt good and I still want more… As for piercings, the nose stung a little, tongue didn’t hurt, none of the 9 ear piercings hurt, nipple hurt quite a bit, ‘down yonder’ one surprisingly did not hurt.

Is scarification similar to tattooing? (apart from the ink etc.)

Yes and no. Theyre similar in that they are both permanent forms of bodification. They can both be removed through laser surgery. The one MAIN difference is there is no “needle” in scarification, usually a metal rod that is super heated, and used to make the “burns” or “scars”, or a knife to make the cuts, many many times over, and is MUCH more painful than tattooing.
