school help: Im just in school and i have no clue of how to do most of my classes and my teachers aren’t much help at all. - Help.com

Im just in school and i have no clue of how to do most of my classes and my teachers aren’t much help at all.

They just expect us to just know what to do off the bat. It’s just so over welming and nobody is going to help me. When I ask a question they say what they think im asking than they just walk away, me still not knowing how to do the things. They expect us to just know So MUCH….and if the class fails they think something is wrong with the class. I would think that they would understand if the whole class fails or doesn’t understand. What do I Do?

Just do your best. Thats all you can do. Make yourself a teachers pet if you have to get their attention. For instance your teacher likes baseball, say something like, “Great game last night, huh?”. Compliment their tie or shoes. Raise your hand again & say,”I know you helped me before but im still having problems with this”.
I dont know what grade your in but you will always have some teachers that are harder to deal with then others. You have to learn to work with them. It will be this way when you go out into the real world too & you deal with co-workers & bosses.
Also tell your parents so that they are aware of the situation. My son has had a few difficult teachers also. In high school you have at least like 8 teachers to deal with. You are bound to have problems with one of them.

Most schools have after school help. Find out if your school offers it and go. This way you get one-on-one with the teacher. If they don’t understand what you are asking then try to ask a different way. Or tell them that you don’t understand and to explain it again. If the teachers are any good then they would explain it differently. Also, go to your counslor and tell them the issues you are having. They also might be able to help.

Why do’t you ask a friend from another school? or you could ask family to help explain what you don’t understand. There are lots sites for mainly revision but they do a good job of teaching basics etc in easy language. like:

(you can also get it for other academic stages)
