I have to agree. There are many good laptops available for as little as half that. Also, see about student rates or see about just plain getting one through school.

Yes there are. HP and Dell are just 2 of the companies that make great (and inexpensive) laptops.

Yeah you can get laptops pretty cheap I got mine for only $698. It is an Dell Inspirion E1705. Its pretty nice!! You just have to shop around for a bit to find the perfect one!

I’m having trouble with money too. I’m tudoring my little cousin this summer for 2 days a week for 1 hour. I get paied $3’s each week. I’m saving up for an ipod 3rd generation. So far, I have $9’s :)
