I voted country, but I also think kids should be able to visit the city to understand and appreciate both sides of life in that sense.

Yeah, I like that, Anthrax! I always wanted to live in one, and if we have the opportunity to move to a small town with our kids, we will. It’s more personable, and the crime isn’t as bad in larger cities. Not as much traffic, either. Great idea.

I grew up in a small town, so i dinno how i didnt think of adding it to the poll. Anyway i loved living in the farming community that i grew up in, always thought that maybe i was just bias about thinking the county is safer and better for my kids!

I voted “other” for the same reasons as Anthrax, although my vote would go to the medium-sized town.

Growing up in a small town can lead to a sheltered up-bringing. Also, if your child is different, they may feel constrained or even ostracized by the lack of diversity.

I agree about small towns leading to a sheltered upbringing, b ut if the children are taking there regular trips to the city and the farm, then all should be good! - i guess its just important to give your children the oppitunity to see all walks of life!

Yes, I think you’re right. In the end, parenting will have a greater influence than where a person lives.

I voted for country because thats where I live and crime is very rare. You can go for a walk or bike ride without have to worry about being kidnapped and something along those lines.

I voted other because a loving home is the best place to raise a child. My opinion.

I was born and raised in a small town. However I have lived and travelled across the country. I decided to move back to my small town to raise my children. I continue to travel, I just feel my children are safer in a small town. I know its a false sense of security, but it makes me a little more comfortable.
