Hi Karen, I believe the only way to solve your delima is to live it. Sometimes experience is the best teacher, other times simple wisdom is the answer, stop warring in your soul and trust God or your belief, God understands better than anyone else. Years ago I made the choice to live openly with a man, since then I have renounced the gay lifestyle because, I chose to believe what God says about my life, not what myself or other people, or experience thought.

I am truly sorry to hear all this Karen. I once worked for your father many years ago and have seen what this sort of mentality and the destruction against other human beings and the torment that goes with it. Please don’t think that all men are bad because by relating your terrible experience with men to all men you are shutting off happiness and fulfillment that you might find.I truly hope you are at least some part healed now and maybe by helping others you are helping yourself. My best wishes in your future. I think that all people have at least some badness in them but very few are so bad that they will never change. Unfortunately your father was one of them. You have the potential to do anything you want once you break free from all that.
