Depends on the christian. I’ve known some who believe that it’s just a game and a game is not real life. I’ve known some who absolutely forbid it as a work of the devil and an act to influence you into sin.

It’s quite a matter of perspective.

Easy answer, there is nothing wrong with RPS or games in general. Now comes my question, why do you ask?

Every thing you like, there is always someone who doesn’t. If you keep in mind that is all fictional for fun, I think is no problem. I think some people (beyond christians) think is bad because it shows diferents ideas than theirs. Stuff like magic is a kind of blasfemy, other creatures than the created by God, etc.
As long as you don’t let the fantasy world affect (so much ;-) ) your life in the real one, i think there is no problem.
The world is full of closed minds.

God conficts diffrent people of diffrent things, so if he does not tell you it is bad then it isn’t for you. Like I have a conviction to not wear pants to church even though most women in my church do. I do not look down on them for wearing pants, but it would be a sin for me too, because God laid it on my heart

I think that a lot of christians don’t like fantasy stuff because it is connected to magic which is supposed to be connected to the devil and witchcraft and such. Although I see the point in christians refraining from things like that I don’t see why video games and Harry Potter would make them so upset. I don’t think there is anything wrong with what you are doing, but like the last posted said, maybe you need to listen to what God is telling you.

Roleplay and fantasy is just that. Roleplay and fantasy. I play larp, rpg’s, video games and tabletop wargames. This is a past time for me, it help escape reality and de-stress myself. I consider myself one of the most calm people I know. It also helps with creativity and imagination. There are false rumours of people taking it too far and trying to take this into real life. There is only one recorded incident of this that I know, and the guy was a bit of a mental case anyway… It is just a hobby, like baseball, football, painting. It doesn’t take you away from your beliefs, your job, your friends. Enjoy it, its fun!
