girl help: I need help with medical bills. - Help.com

I need help with medical bills.

About 7 months ago, I gave birth to little girl. She was 2 1/2 months early, and weigh 2lbs, 3oz. She stayed in the hospital for 1 1/2 months, and although I do have health insurance, they did not cover everything. I have applied for Medicaid, went through the hospital for financial assistance, to no avail. My current medical bills for my daughter are around $16,000. Does anyone know of anything else I can do, short of filing bankruptcy?

The Health insurance has to cover these bills for the newborn child, as far as I know.

Well, than the hospital which send you to that other hospital had the duty to check that, if it is their mistake, they have to pay for it. They just can’t let you rot in the gaps of bureaucracy.

A friend of mine had about $20,000 worth of medical bills after his appendix almost burst. He was pretty much broke at the time, and had no way to pay, so he applied for help from the state (Colorado). He was accepted for that, but then it turned out the hospital he had gone to didn’t work with that program.

I’m not sure exactly how it went, but after the hospital realized there was absolutely no way he’d be able to pay, they were willing to settle with him for literally pennies on the dollar, and he was able to pay over about a year’s time. Like I said, I’m not sure on the details, but it’s definitely something you should try.

Hope that helps.

Hi Tori,
My husband and I have been health care providers for many years and we created a company to assist people with their medical bills.
The website is www.GorillaBill.com

Our medical bill specialists will review your provider and hospital bills as well as insurance statements to recover money you may have been charged due to errors and overcharges. In addition, you may still have an opportunity to fight your insurance denials. The bill specialist will do all of this on your behalf.

I know you are in a difficult situation and want you to know that there is absolutely no service fee for this review. There will only be a small fee for the audit and bill negotiation if your bills are reduced. It is truley Risk-Free and much safer than filing bankruptcy!

Go to www.GorillaBill.com and click on the Free Basic Membership. Once you are signed in, click on the “Request a Bill Review” tab in the menu bar. It is quick and easy and we will start working on your bills from there.
Best of luck to you and your family. If you have any other questions, go to the site and send it to Lori.
Take Care.

Hi,
I know the cost for delivering a baby is extensive. I would like to offer you the same advice as I wrote in the above post. The Medical Bill Specialist at www.GorillaBill.com have assisted many people in reducing the amount of their medical bills, whether they are have health insurance, are uninsured or have discrepancies with their current carrier. The assistance is risk free which means you don’t pay anything to have your bills reviewed. You will also give yourself a chance to release the stress of the bills and collection agencies if you have someone helping you through the process.
Go to www.GorillaBill.com , click on the free membership icon and once signed into the site, simply click on the tab that states, “REQUEST A BILL REVIEW”. We’ll take it from there.
If you have any questions, send them to: (email removed)
