here is another person that is a wizard.
Your ISP may be able to help you with the IP addresses
If you got your mobem turned on and linked to your computer and can see the ink to it by pressing START - CONECT TO - SHOW ALL CONECTIONS then phone yor providers service suport line. I know they are all different but they will guide you throught your problems or get you conected at their end.
thanks neku for viewing the post but i’m allready online using that router also my isp technichian allready came to me and config the network

hope some one can explaind ehat to do with these pics
Hello, Amebaid!
The pics look like initial router setup options. If your ISP already set this up and it’s working, it may not be good to run this program because it may change their settings. It’s possible that someone just accidentally changed the default router display language. You might be able to find the language setting just by looking at drop-down menus on the router web page or something.
As far as your LAN vs. WAN question, here goes. LAN = local area network…the computers in your home are all connected to the same LAN. WAN = wide area network…the connection between your home and your ISP is probably what they consider a WAN, in this case.
Your router acts as a gatekeeper between the LAN (your home) and the WAN (the outside world). Any messages for computers in your home need to go through that router to get there. Someone outside of your home sends messages to the router. It’s the router’s job to deliver any messages to the correct computer in your home…like a mailman, kind of.
The outside world only sees and talks to your router. But the router can have many computers connected to it on the inside of your home (on your LAN). The router needs a way to keep track of all these computers, so it gives each computer a unique internal IP address (via DHCP which you see a lot in your pics). The router keeps track of all these internal IP addresses so it can deliver mail to the right place when it needs to.
Pictures 1 and 2 - refer to generic log on and connection settings for your router. These can most likely be kept at the default, but your ISP would have these settings.
Pictures 3 and 4 - refer to the internal IP addresses that the router will give to the different computers in your home LAN (via DHCP). If a computer is set to dynamically get an IP address, when it boots it says “Hey…does anyone have an IP address for me?” Your router responds with “Yeah…sure…here’s your IP address. When you need to send anything on the Internet, send it to me and I’ll take care of it for you.”
“Client IP Pool Starting Address” = the first IP address that your router will give to a computer. For most home LANs, it starts at 192.168.1.2 or 192.168.100.2, by default. Yours could be different.
“Size of Client IP Pool” is the number of IP addresses the router will give out to computers. Right now the router can give out IP addresses to 32 different devices.
“DNS servers” translate web addresses (like www.help.com) to their IP addresses. Your ISP should provide you the IP addresses of the DNS servers that you want to use.
Picture 5 - has login credentials for remotely accessing your router, I think, but I’m not 100% positive. It could be credentials of some sort supplied by your ISP.
Picture 6 - tells the router to automatically request an IP address from your ISP. It’s like the process in pictures 3 and 4, but for the router instead of your computers. The router boots and says, “Hey…does anyone have an IP address for me?” The ISP responds with an IP address for it so everyone in the world knows how to talk to the router.
Picture 7 - refers to ways of remotely accessing your router. Telnet, FTP, and Web are all ways to remotely access your router.
This is a lot to try to explain in writing. I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense…please feel free to ask questions if it doesn’t. Good luck! :)
wow ,, that is really great ,, you really learned me how to walk :”)
i know it’s better not to change these setting i’m not that computer exert after all but knowledge is priceless

thanks valentine again no i understand the difference between lan and wan
i know now what i want to to with my router
[f a computer is set to dynamically get an IP address, when it boots it says “Hey…does anyone have an IP address for me?” Your router responds with “Yeah…sure…here’s your IP address] i think i’ll give each one of my lan one static ip
i have oe more question .. when i try to download any file the surfing speed goes down and all my speed goes to the download
any way to control that ??
thanks valentine you really helped
All danget man, I took 3 computer maintenance repair classes in high school and thats all we talked about was routers. I must have amnesia or something cuz I can’t remember nothing about them, oops. Come to think of it, I hardly ever paid attention because it was the last class of the day, that might explain everything huh. lol
