I am educated at home and every 2 months I have to write a comprehensive essay on any subject.

The objective is to use the internet and other sources to gain as much knowledge about the subject that I can. The last subject was “ Children And Photography.” in which I studied Sally Mann debate and its implications.

I can’t think of what to do next, any suggestions.

oh yeah, i remember this post. Did you ever see my response about Herodotus’ book ‘the Histories’ that inspired a then lousy studen Winston Churchill. Or about how Rome didn’t fall, but faded, because the Romans moved to the countryside because temperatures dropped in Northern Europe so the Germanic tribes migrated south and settled in Rome. It just got to dangerous is because of the tribes. Good luck and let me know if you want anymore info.

Sally Mann, her work is thought to be a little contraveral(spelling yeh),although those that do find it offensive would essually find something dirty in any form of art. I like her work.

Maybe you could write an essay on “cubism”. It would be fascinating to write about the artist who were responsible for its birth, their techniques etc

why don’t you write about the daily britich life and the diff between it and your home country ??

you can also try writing about peace point of views and how the world leaders see world peace

hope any of these 2 subjects some how interesting but you should also do what you love

hmmm…poverty in America, welfare:to have or not to have, social security-will it run out?, global warming, to be organic or not to be, how paris hilton can pay thousands of dollars to get her little dog dressed up for one awards event meanwhile there are children and families starving right here in the U.S, pro-life or pro-choice, morning after pills-partial birth abortions, ummm..is 40 really the new 20, shoulds all schools have uniform dresscodes, homeschooling vs. public education, you could talk about education whether it be the how one school can have 2 olympic size swimming pools and another school have old text books,a gym that the roof is falling down on top of them, or how dang expensive college is. I dont know…lol there are lots of things, I think the best thing to do is whatever you are passion about, whether its something you enjoy doing, or something that you’ve recently read about that has fired you all up, or a popular debate. When your interested in it, it will make the paper a whole lot easier. Good luck!:)
