well, here we go, iam going into the army, and my dad

wont let me join the infrantry wich i really want to do (as uno u need pearents ermission if ur under 18) i have said ill go in2 artillary which i dont mind doing but i dont think i will wont to do around 21 yrs into it, so i was wondering how can i tell my dad? i can imagin him sayin no because when you leave you wont have anytin 2 come back on apart from shootin a rifle wich is no gd in the world. am really stuck any help would b gd thanx!

I have a friend that is in infrantry. He’s in Iraq right now. He gets out in Jan 08. He loves it.
While you are in they can take a portion of your pay and put it into an account that can be used for your education after the army. Also, there are all sorts of programs that you can go into. Talk to your recruiter. Maybe he/she has some information that you can give to your dad. Or if the recruiter can talk to him directly.

Hi, I’m ex R.L.C (logistics driver) my advice for you is: STAY AWAY FROM INFANTRY!!!!!!! They are unskilled, dont have a trade, and just cannon fodder.
They are also bottom of the pecking order in the army, and if you want to come out and be a security guard on minimum wage then go for it. The recruiting office will tell you a pack of lies just to get you in, trust me i’ve been there, I did my 3yrs 3mths. And i’ll tell you what they dont tell you on the tele.

someguy112, ok tnx, what do u think of Artillary - Pheonix Operater?cus thats my 2nd choice, as it seems intresting but not as intresting as infrantry. but also while your in the infentry cant you get a trade? and also take courses?
