I would like to borrow your attention for a moment.
Hey, I have decided to write a book. It will be called “A Treatise on Morality and Social Behavior in the 21st Century” at the moment. I would like to ask your views on the issue and possibly use them in the book. Thins book isn;t for profit, it is mainly a constructive activity that I have decided to jump into. Please, no one out there steal my idea/ title :p

I charge interest on any borrowed attention. Now, if there’s anything you want the opinion of an atheist humanist on, just ask.
Eryk, go ahead and say what you think about the issue. I’m trying to get multiple viewpoints.
Morality and social behavior in the 21st century. If you dont have anything to say, ill complie a list of questions and post them tomorrow or so.
hmmm, how about, uhhh, with rise of internet culture and interest in other societies, pplare more willing to adapt, and respect different belifs. hows thaT?
That will be in there Cookie Monster, dont you worry. I’ll work on those questions for you. Anyone else that wants to post their views and thoughts I encourage you to, untill tomorrow, g’night.
just like finance i think course in respect need to be taught at all level of education… neither really are right now and it is showing in our culture…
people who do not know how to behave properly eventually either fail badly or when handed opportunity as many are - end up in jail or worse… or tormenting people who are “beneath them” it is a sad legacy for the future… and the worst part is i meet plenty of people who probably would be peasnat to eb around if only someone, anyone had shown them some social skills… we cannot realy on parents and churches anymore…
You must plan on living a long time. At this date, your book lies a minimum of 93 years in the future.
First off your first sentence should actually read, “May I have your attention!” To barrow implies that you are going to return the favor. Which you are not. Unless you copyright the title of the book it is up for grabs. Cost about $100.00USD for a block of USBN numbers.
Needz moar info! :P
Seriously, though, you’re being too vague. Are you hoping to write about how morality has changed? Are you writing a lament on how America has fallen (if that’s the case, leave me out of it! lol)? What facet of social behavior are you hoping to write on? Are you going to focus on a particular group? Do you need interviews, or is it going to be mostly a research-based book? etc. My advice to you is to get a really clear idea on what kind of book you want to write before writing it. It sounds like you just have a title and nothing else to me. I may be wrong, but that’s the impression you’re giving me. :p
And . . . I don’t mean to be overly critical, but “treatise” is kind of an archaic word . . . sounds like something out of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s stuff. Which was fine back then, but sounds kinda . . . fishy . . . now.
Rofl. Absolutely nothing. I’ll have you know I was a Sherlock Holmes fangirl for a very long section of my life. :D I still say that Basil Rathbone was better! . . . but that may have just been because his voice rocked.
But ya know, those stories were written around the 1900’s and it’s 2007 now. ;)
