but who wants to hire someone w/ a [current] criminal record? every job these days does a thorough background check! no one wants to hire a “criminal.” does anyone have any suggestions? or companies to suggest applying for a job with? help!!

I suggest trying to find a company as opposite from whatever crime you committed as you can find.

My son was with a lumber company who almost exclusively hired x convicts. There are companies who believe in giving people a second chance. Usually they are ones who arent really taking any kind of huge risk.

You can try freelance writing, bookkeeping, software, transcription or customer service work at home jobs. These companies do not require any fee and pay well . List of companies(with websites) offering genuine work at home jobs is available at http://www.pcworkathome.net . Many of these companies have been in business for several years
