A little update on my Alicia’s twin sister.
She did die. Yesterday, me and my friend Marjie rode 7 miles on our bikes to her house since she moved to a different city a while ago. We appeared at her bedroom window because her room is on the first floor. She let us in and told us what happened to her when she went to the hospital in Washington to see her sister while munching on donuts. You might not want to read this is what she told me:
Because they knew she was going to die they decided to remove her from the bed and let Alicia and her dad hold her. But first they had to change her and take the tubes out of her chest, causing her to be bloody. She was place on both her dad and Alicia; her shoulders being held by dad and legs ontop of Alicia. She was breathing but very abnormally and short. They sat their holding her and crying for atleast 4 hours. Alicia told me that her dad was crying like a little child and it was the hardest thing she ever had to do. Eventually her sister’s face turned blue and her lips were purple and her body was cold.
Her dad decided to have an open casket funeral which kind of made her angry. But she later realized at the funeral it would be like a proper good bye or something like that.
When I went into her bedroom, I noticed she took down all of her music collages and drawings. She replaced them with a “memorial” of her sister; a whole bunch of pictures of her. It was kind of heartwarming. And I think that now she’s an even better person than she used to be.
