‘i got to break free’- to quote a popular song.

i don’t know how that’s relevant but here comes a sedate rant (if such a thing exists). I’m so tired of all this confusion, i’m too young to be confused - i’m supposed to be ignorant andjust having fun. But that’s not really how I’m suppose to be - that’s just the easy way out. You know how in the past they thought that as human history continued, we would continue to better ourselves - always evolving forward. i liked that idea, i do like that idea and i hoped towards it but what i thought today is that we’re not getting better exactly - we give new rights or freedoms or better livlihoods but we screw up something else, make some other aspect of life crapper, take away some other freedom. it’s like a vicious cycle. i find that more and more that i’m deterministic. Everything has happened for a reason - that sounds right enough, but then if everything leads up to something else, everything is predetermined, there isn’t exactly a choice - maybe there is but if you don’t choose the thing predetermined for you everything willgo crappy and it’ll be alot harder. What is free will - i know we have it but do we really exact have a choice or is that only an illusion. i’m confused. Are these thoughts wrong - sinful - am i losing hope - i hope not so i suppose not - i don’t think so.
Well there’s my rant - i hope you enjoyed the journey through my mind - be grateful it was short - hehehe

I think I know what you mean… It’s like, although life has apparently improved for millions of people, we’re still decimating the earth? Sometimes I’d like to just be self-sufficient and live in a log cabin somewhere in Canada…!

Well - break free. I tell you it takes guts and determination but it is possible. Got for what you want. Not everything is fate - some times there is a split in the round 2 or more directions in which to go. Sounds like you are at this path. Continue on the easy path that you know - or find some thing new and grab life? There is always a choice in things. Like choosing between chicken or lamb, full English fry up or cereal - (using my own life as an example) or on the bigger scale stay in England and continue doing what I know or move to America and find a new life. England is the easy boring option but America is scary as everything would be different but exciting. Which to choose? LOL … go for it and grab life. Make a few changes. Shake up your life (I make a habit of it now … when ever life gets nasty look at what you dont need any more and get rid)

Thanx Ditzy_Doodler - you are right. If you sit like this doing nothing coz that’s what was gonna happen anyway your never gonna get a thing done - yyour life will go by and you’ll be dead and what will they say about you ‘ Well thank goodness he was a great determinist - what an inspiration’. Nah chuck out the nasty makes some goals and get em right (yes i’m talking to myself).
This is life - don’t waste a second coz each is nearer to your last and you can’t get them back.
