I will be traveling to Israel at the end of June, does anybody have any suggestions on where to go and what to do?

I know of all the big stuff, Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepluchure and all that, looking for something off the beaten path…

There is great snorkelling to be had in Eilat and you can take a day trip to Jordan to see Petra if you like - I did both as a treat to myself about ten years back to get over my divorce, so maybe it would suit you too?

LOL!!! That’s the same reason why I am going…Petra sounds like a great idea for sure! Do I need a visa for Jordan? Is it easy to cross the border? Thanks!

if you go on a day trip as I did (guided) they take care of the border crossing etc and I do not remember a Visa - though you are not permitted to take any foodstuffs across (oddly)

Tel Aviv of course. The beach is nice. And the beach cafes are great.
Also, if you go to the dead sea make sure to go to Mesada. It’s amazing and so is the view from up there.
