This isn’t a chain. To who ever posted this, thank you- I didn’t know Jordan Manners, but the news has affected me. Jane Creba, Chantalle Dunn, Jordan Manners… and how many others…?

Jordan Manners was shot to death in his highschool on May 23, 2007. The killer is still at large. He had turned 15 yrs of age 5 days before and was in Gr. 9. His mother collapsed upon hearing the news.

it tears me apart to see kids from the neighbourhood killing their own and innocents alongside. youths from those areas know more death than i do and i’m almost 15 yrs their sr.

it’s a subculture i don’t really understand. but i think guns have become the new knives. put those guns in the hands of young persons; combine it with (in my estimation) a deluded sense of “guns = respect” encouraged by societal-segregation ….grrr….

and this is what happens. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of gun violence.

Kassandra - i’m so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your friends. By all accounts Jordan was a gem of a kid w/ all the potential in the world. Even if he wasn’t it oughtn’t matter -

spread the word- there’s life after 25 and a whole world left to explore. i hope T.O. can show its forgotten kids the opportunities it boasts about to e/one else. let’s stop the killing.
