Debate help: Ron Paul vs Mike Gravel in 2008 - Help.com

Ron Paul vs Mike Gravel in 2008

Watch these guys, they know what they are talking about. Republican and Democrat. If you want someone competent in office, these are your best bets, too bad they have no chance of getting people to think outside talking points. Raise awareness and get involved! Ideally I’d like to use this thread as a chance to sort out issues and hear lots of people’s opinions of the candidates for president in the 2008 election.

I’ve heard Ron Paul’s name mentioned several times, but not Mike Gravel’s. I’ll have to take a look now, thanks. :o)

Watch them in the debates or check them out on youtube. Everyone running, in both of the parties, except for these too seem to have mostly canned responses. You can tell that these guys are not just speaking within the realm of answers that have been made acceptable by the media, the talk around the talking points and speak honestly. You can really tell that they are not just trying to tow the party line on either side.

OMG, I LOVE Gravel’s position. Especially the healthcare and National Initiative for Democracy parts. Ron Paul’s not so much, mostly because “cutting taxes” is too general (Bush cut taxes, but he cut the wrong ones). If he were to elucidate more clearly which taxes he would cut, I think I would like him better. But I agree, they are actually thinking–a rare thing to see these days. I’ll be sure and check them out on YouTube once I get onto a faster connection. (Loading videos takes hours and hours on this one. >.

Ron Paul… Do you guys know about the Tea Party ‘07 being held? It’s a revolutionary way of getting more attention for this candidate through fundraising, and showing that we just “want our Constitution back,” but the only problem I have with Ron Paul is that, as with any Republican, he won’t be showing much care for the global warming crisis… Yes, I said “crisis.”
