How did everyone first come across this forum?

I was having trouble writing an abstract for an academic paper and typed ‘help’ into google. I still haven’t written that abstract, however I find Help.com both inspiring and cathartic. How did you find Help.com and has it solved your initial problem? If not then what has it given you?

I was feeling extremely depressed, sick, and impatient with my life. Help.com didn’t really solve my problem, but it did give me something to do (and still does) that I feel good about. :)

It’s a strange thing isn’t it fanficbug. It doesn’t solve our problems but gives us something to do. This activity, in itself, is part of a plan of living. Like social grooming it serves little real purpose but helps us to rid ourselves of fleas whilst bonding with our species. I’m also glad it is here.

I was extremely depressed because something really awful had happened to me and I was alone in a new country, without family or friends.
So I just went to the internet and wrote: www.help.com
And then I saw it!
I posted my problem and all the nicest people in the world came to give me advice.
