I sent this e-mail to Whitestranger.com support.

It failed permanently, so I thought I would try on here in case computer-clever people know the answer.

I downloaded the free biorhythm program. It came up with an error message whenever I tried to open it, but it had been working before.

“The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occured because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.”

If the downloaded program was for free, give me the link. I can then check out what the problem is.

I have downloaded the free version and it is working perfectly ok on my machine.
Wipe the one you downloaded off your computer, then download the free version again. Tell me if that corrects your problem.

There are a few things you need to do first.

1 Run your anti virus program
2 Run your anti spyware program

Click on start.

Click on run.

Type in SFC /RUNNOW type it in exactly as you see it, in upper case and the space before the / sign.

To keep your computer safe in the future, if you use AVG instead of norton. It updates itself when you start your computer up, once every day. At a time you specify. It is one of the best you can get.
Ad-Aware is another good program to use and is very efficiant. You will need to manually update this programe yourself, but it will tell you if you forget and you dont update it every week.

Another program you should get is http://www.ccleaner.com/ It will automaticaly wipe all temporary internet files, all cookies and any other dangerous type files off your computer. Every time you turn your computer on. You should run this last one as it is, dont change any of the settings. Except to make it work when you start the computer up.

Let me know when you have done the things above that you feel easy with.

Because your computer has been infected some of the windows files will have been contaminated and removed. If your computer does not need any files the reset will not work.

What I am saying is that all of your windows files are crucial to your computer working propperly. If you dont find out if any are missing your computer will not work correctly. This in time will compound and get worse. What I am asking you to do is a part of windows security system. I would not ask you to do it if it was not neccesary.

It can take a lot of time to go through the files the first time. Especialy if you have a big file load. Just be patient at least you are safer this way. You can turn it on and off as you wish.

This is actually a memory allocation issue usually encoutered with a realtek card installation. The issue isn’t being caused by virus, spyware or adware. It also isn’t an issue with the software you downloaded. Microsoft has released a hotfix you should install.
The solution can be downloaded here.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/de…

Click on the download button

- select Run and it will install on your computer.

Also, you should check out the following link for some more information.

Hi there Grateful.

Thanks for stepping in with the help article. I hope this one works. It might be of interest to you to know, that I turned both windows firewall and updates, completely off last year. I kept getting conflicts with internet explorer and microsoft front page. Plus other applications were affected, after the updates had been downloaded and installed. Since then there have been no viruses found and I have not had any problem with the running of my computer.

I wipe all internet files from my computer every time I come off the internet and the updates that windows still tries to send to microsoft from my computer. Are wiped from my computer, with a program from www.bcwipe.com called bcwipe. This is done before windows can send the updates from my computer to microsoft, at start up. I expect you already know that updates goes both ways, it updates your computer from them and sends updates from your computer to microsoft.

I also run antivirus and anti spyware every day.

I am glad you have put your message on here, I had no idea about the conflict with windows update.

I am also glad that I did take the time to get Schournes to rid his computer from the viruses and adware problems.

Thanks again.
From Thepp.

You know I dont want to use Help.com but as you are a friend, I have helped and tried to help you on a number of occasions. Although I have still been signing on to follow up on answers to previous posts, this has now come to an end.

This is the last time I will be helping you on Help.com. You will have to e-mail me, if you need any help from me in the future.
I e-mailed you last week and you replied, with a blank e-mail, that seems like a snub to me.

To defragment your computer.

1. Click on Start.
2. Click My Computer.
3. Under “Hard Disk Drives” click “Local Disk (C:).
4. Click Properties.
5. Click Tools.
6. Under “Defragmentation” click on “Defragment Now”.

It will take quite some time to defragment your computer but should be done at least every three months.

Other things you should do to keep your computer running quicker and more efficiently.

Wipe all downloaded programs that you no longer need or use off your computer.

Wipe all internet cookie and temporary files, off your computer. Every time you sign off the internet.

Run your anti virus and anti spyware programs at least once a week.

Download http://www.ccleaner.com/download/ and learn to use it.

That’s enough for now, good luck with having a quicker more efficcient computer.

From Thepp.

Schwournes,
I’ve been working in the computer industry for quite awhile, but I didn’t know how to run defrag or delete a file. I didn’t know what right-click meant or how to run a program in windows when I decided I wanted to start working on computers. Back then, there really weren’t many internet forums or or many resources, so I started with for dummies books. I found they were the easiest quick references. I started with PCs For Dummies and then Windows For Dummies before moving on to A+ For Dummies. These 3 books were enough to teach me about all I really needed to know for quite awhile. You may want to start picking up some of these to help you work out the kinks in your system. Just a tip.

Thepp,
I tend to take extended breaks from Help.com so that I don’t get too warn out. I’m normally only on once every week or 2 just to follow up on any posts or to see if I can help anybody out. I don’t spend too much time chatting or posting, so my stamina hasn’t really been put to the test. Thanks though.
