if u for get the code for ur screen lock on ur ipod. ive only found this with a nano so i dont kno if it works with any others but it should do. connect ur ipod to ur computer and go into my computer. click on ur ipod icon and it will open up with a few folders. if u dnt know how to unhide folders then just type this into the address bar at the top. e:\iPod_Control\Device but make sure it is the correct domain i.e. e:/ f:/ or what ever ur ipod says. if that is done right then u will c a bunch of unopenable files. jst delete the one that ses _locked and then unplug ur ipod

if it is a ipod nano all you have to do is plug it into the computer you use to load songs onto it,and wen you take it out again it should be unlocked, at least that was what happened we i did it hope this helps!!!!!!!

the best way to unlock the iPod when the screen lock code was forgotten is to connect it to your computer and view it in My Computer. Go to folders, make sure you can view hidden files and, ipod control click device then delete the file named _locked. unplugged ur ipod and its unlocked.

Connect it to your itunes, sync your songs to it and take off the cable, it will be automatically unlocked. Or you could connect it and go to Restore settings. Your choice. But the first choice is easier

all you have to do is sync it on your computer.
then just let it be plugged in for one minute.
then remove it and it should be unlocked

Here is how you do it simply.
You, Plug in ipod, click to explore it in explorer. Make sure HiddenFiles and Hidden folders are on display, then navigate to device info or something, then a file named _lock rename it to _unlock and it will now be unlocked, make sure you eject ipod properly.

go to a new folder and then go to this website e:\iPod_Control\Device and then post it to the new folders url…then it shoudl show these hidden files and the delete the files _locked..then u should be okay now..

Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.

The Only Thing You Need To Do To Unlock ANy IPOD Device Is Plug It Into your Computer Allow it To Sync And When It is Finished Syncing Properly Unplug Your IPod.

i recommend this one because i was having some issues and it helped me unlock my ipod instantly…
