Day help: My toe is numb. - Help.com

My toe is numb.

O_O;;; The bottom of my left pinky toe has gone numb, I can feel pain, but not much. It started two days ago. It’s not purple nor cold suggesting circulation issues, so I think I can rule out my weight as a factor behind it. I’m 250.

Any ideas? No trauma to it. No injuries.

U seriously need to go see a doctor. Unless anyone here is a doctor, that is. But I still think it should be physically examined by a doctor… =//

umm actually…

I got a new pair of sandles… that feel odd to wear. But would that do this? O_O;;; If so, would not wearing them help?

I believe your sandals are to blame. They are probably putting pressure on your toe or a nerve that runs into your toe and you don’t even realise it. I did a little nerve damage to the left side of my left foot the same way. It was because of a pair of sandals that didn’t fit me properly.

I recommend you stop wearing them and hope the damage reverses itself. You can still see a doctor, just in case it’s something else.

It happened to me once when I changed job and had new footwear and did a lot of walking. In England Dr’s sometimes refer to it as Policeman’s toe because they had it a lot on the old days.

I got it in one day, both my big toes went numb at the ends but didn’t hurt or feel cold. It never got better.

I’d still see the Dr as I am not one.

I’m going to see the doc, and I sure hope it gets better. I want my toe back.

Mine never got better (completely) either. I don’t have any numbness or anything but the nerve is very sensitive. If I wear a shoe that puts pressure on it, it feels a lot like hitting the “funny bone” in your elbow. Or if I’m bare footed and step on it wrong, it feels the same way.

It’s not a huge deal, I just have to be careful what shoes I wear and how I walk.

Hopefully yours will get better. See the doc like you have planned, he may have an intervention for you.

I do hope. I hope it’s the sandals. I’ll never touch THOSE again, no sir.

I’m 14 and my right big toe feels a little numb at the bottom and won’t go away. I’ve been wearing some new socks lately but that’s it.

Same for me as well as i had been wearing leather shoes for too long and my numbness had been there for like more then 2 month already but had yet to see a doctor. I’m worried though.
