To have an attitude of gratatude is one key to a good life. There is always something good in EVERYTHING, and everyone! By your helping you’ve helped me. Ah, this could turn into a long novel, ha ha. And I know I will miss some people, and I am sorry in advance, but I have interacted with so many of you.

Heather. I have no idea how this happened, but you have become my best friend on this site. Ha, one of my best friends period. Thank you so much for your honesty, your patience, your careing. I never told you, but there were a few times I would have given up if not for your words.

Mitzy. I love that you can take the honest answers to heart, and even as an adult, you are willing to try to change for the better. And the fact that you too are there for me when I need it. You are one of the few I will ask for help from. thank you

The Fronde. You, my friend, have the most elegant way of expressing yourself. I do well, but you amaze me. I admire the fact that you will not dumb down your words for the lazy, thus keeping your meaning accurate and true. Also I appreciate the fact that I can count on you to get exactly what I mean when I say something a little obscure, or talk in a parable. Thanks for not only having that wonderful mind and soul, but for not being afraid to show it.

Jonnetta. First, thank you for seeing who Matt is. That takes a special heart, and a kind of wisdom you do not see everyday. This same quiet wisdom is evident in your replies to people. Your heart shines thru. I hope for and wish you and Matt the best, and hope we 3 keep in touch forever.

candp. you guys are so, so great. If I miss an angle, you got it covered. there have been so many times that i go to answer a post, and I read what you have written, and just leave it be. I appreciate your willingness to share your wisdom and knowledge, and not just keep it locked up in a safe somewhere.

cdjanet31. You are so, so grown up for your age. I would love to know how you aquired the wisdom you have, and how you have managed to have no taint of hubris about you. I cannot imagine a world where you don’t go very far in life.

Det. Mills. Your funny, and you can participate in a debate without letting the emotions take control, and i really respect that. Another great trait you have, you can admit you have faults, and admit it sincerly, that is very rare.

Hello everyone, this is the Fronde speaking,

Jonetta and I thought that we should pay a special tribute of thanks to certain people who helped us along our way as we grew our relationship. Carol and Paul (candp) and Hope (fhr21) have been very good friends to us, and our story together is one we hope will uplift you and gladden your hearts.

It was February, 2007 when Jonetta and I first met on Help.com She had quickly gained a high reputation for herself with her kind and compassionate advice. She made friends easily and corresponded with many other users. I remember first noticing her due to the fact that it seemed every time I went to somebody’s shout box, she had just recently sent them a shout wishing them well. Right from the beginning we had an interest in each other, but we didn’t know that we shared it between us, nor did we know what to make of it at the time. Jonetta was intrigued by my profile, in which I wrote of my passion for Old Europe and the campaigns of the French nobility against the absolute monarch (“Fronde” is a middle French verb meaning “to sling stones at windows.” Read all about the French Fronde by following the link on my profile page.) I was fascinated by her vivaciousness and her secret charm, her energy and her care. I also felt a heart connection to her, like she needed me somehow; I thought she was hurting and wanted to be with her. I noticed that she lives in Oklahoma City, a place I have always loved since visiting there several years ago. I mentioned this to her and we began talking a little.

At about this time, I left my then place of employment and was seeking ways of making money without having a conventional job. I submitted this matter to the Help.com community for their advice. I also announced a tentative plan of mine to move to Europe. Jonetta then wrote me a long shout describing all the various projects and activities that she was or had been involved in as a way of giving me some ideas. However, it seemed to me at the time that she was filling her mind with thoughts to try and avoid feeling pain. I wanted to stop her, to hold her, to let her know I was there for her, but I didn’t know how to get her to see that.

Shortly thereafter my Jonetta was in a car accident, which many of you know or will remember. She wrote a post about it on Help.com and her many friends poured out to offer her their support. When I saw this, my words came leaping out of me. I left her a very sharply worded response telling her to get on with her life and stop her restless activity, the immediate effect of which was to hurt her feelings and offend nearly everybody who read it. Everybody that is, except Carol and Paul. They saw something happening between Jonetta and I on that post, something that perhaps we were not even aware of at the time. They saw that we would be good for each other and that somehow, in some way, we were going to be together.

I didn’t want my Jonetta to be hurt, so I apologized for saying what I said the way I said it. I wrote her a poem expressing to her who I was and why I was tha.t way. It’s a post of mine here on Help.com entitled “So Stands the Tree”. We became best friends after that.

Jonetta’s injuries were more severe than initially suspected. This weighed heavily upon my heart, as I began to realize that I loved her and I needed her to be okay. I still had so many things to tell her and share with her. I prayed harder than I had prayed for anything before that she would be all right. I asked her parents in heaven for their permission to love and protect their daughter. That night I got an answer back; that Jonetta would be okay, that she would find her companion, and that this very story would reach out and touch untold multitudes of people.

A few nights later I called Carol and Paul and told them of my vision and my love for Jonetta. That was when they told me of their insight into the connection between Jonetta and I. This very same night I began speaking with my good friend fhr21 (Hope). I felt something happen that night that I can’t explain; some sort of holiness that I’ve never felt before except in church on a few occasions when the music and the spirit were really with me. All of us were present in the spiritual; Carol and Paul, Hope, Jonetta, me, and our other friends from Help.com. The spirit of God was moving amongst us that night and working on us. A new comfort began to dawn in me, although I still had many challenges to face.

Jonetta’s friend and lawyer Gary and I began to correspond regularly and became friends, He said he thought that Jonetta definitely had some strong feelings for me and that she and I needed to have a heart-to-heart. I asked him for his blessing to court Jonetta, and he gave me his blessing as he felt her father would have done. We began to talk in person for the first time, began to get to know each other and build a relationship.

The following days were still very difficult for me as to Jonetta’s health, and I needed help dealing with all the uncertainty. I began to talk regularly with Hope at this time, often for hours. Her faith and her connection to God are very strong, and she is able to communicate his loving kindness to others in a simple and effective way. I was led by her to recommit my life to Jesus in a new and deeper way, and I found new strength that I never knew I had.

Jonetta and I owe a debt of gratitude to Carol, Paul and Hope for helping us, and helping to bring us together. It was a great act of God that brought special friends like you into our lives when He did, and we will remember that and treasure it always. Thank you all.

Although we have never come across each other here, I already have a respect for you and am looking forward to the time when we chat.
