Editors:

I cannot get my flash player to work properly.

I can run it when I donwload it, but after I shut down my computer it won’t work the next time I sign on. Very frustrating. Thanks for your help.

Define “it won’t work”. Does it give any errors?

If you install flash you shouldn’t need to restart for it to work. So, first of all, after you install, try NOT restarting (it really shouldn’t be asking you to anyway.)

If it works after the install but fails after restarting, let me know. That’s important.

Sorry, just reread the post.

It is almost like the program is uninstalling on restart then, yes? Some computers actually “wipe clean” upon restarting. If this YOUR computer or a school/public computer?

This is my home computer. Could it have something to do with my Norton? it seems it started to happen after I updated it. I’ve even asked around up at “Best Buy” (Geek Squad) and no one seems to have an answer for me without looking at it. I really don’t want to pay someone for something that should be so simple! I can’t even look at ‘Youtube’!!! any ideas?

Not a clue really. I’m going to take a wild guess and assume you are using Internet Explorer to browse the web. You could try installing Firefox and putting flash on that. Maybe that one won’t uninstall itself?
