An essay is your thoughts put on paper. You can start by making an out line of the points you want to make on the subject you are writing about. Since you have a computer, it is a lot easier to write essays or theme papers, etc. on your word processors, as you are able to move whole sections around until they sound right.
Outline form: Subject
1 point
2 point
3….
etc.
Summary You can do it!!

I write backwards.

1. Choose topic.
2. Research (just cram my head with info).
3. Take general notes on sources and key points. I’ll do details later when I choose which points I will include.
4. Sleep on it a few days.
5. Pull topic points together, possibly more detailed research on points, and write on each point separately.
6. Once my points (supporting arguments) are detailed, I order them for logical flow, and often write transitional statements to lead from one point to another.
8. Sleep on it a few days.
9. Reread, edit.
10 Write my intro and summary paragraphs.

Time allowed, have a few others read to make sure my writing is clear.

Basic formula for esssay

5 paragraphs / 5 pages… (paragraphs for short essay, pages for 250+ word double spaced pages essay)

1st paragraph/ page - introduce topic and mention the points you will make

2-4 (can be more paragraphs/pages if needed) each paragraph deals with separate point from intro paragraph in more detail

Last paragraph/ page - sum up what you have written about and make any conclusions from what you have discussed.
