Don’t cut yourself, that will not answer any problems.

Does that really make you happy? Or does it just move the pain from somewhere else?

Apri, listen to me.

Do you really think cutting makes you happy? Do you really think so? Well, it doesn’t. Guess what - I tried it once. Well, I did not cut myself, I locked myself into the toilet with a stapler and put those metal things in my upper left leg. And guess what: It didn’t make me feel better. I still was mad; and my leg hurted like hell.

ok. cutting is not a bad thing.

but you April are not a cutter. you may have cut yourself in the past, but you are a fake. cutters do not reach out like this. I bet after you cut (on your leg perhaps) you wear shorty shorts to “show” it off and get attention.

I am not saying cutting is a ‘good’ thing, but everyone plays it up as being EVIL. and it is not. It is people like you April who make cutters look so bad. Seeking all this attention. It burns me.

yes. but cutting takes away pain, anger, frustration. People think it leads to suicide.. but cutting PREVENTS suicide. It is a way to cope. It is an addiction like a drug–yet can go unnoticed and not affect the lives of others. it is perfect. but people bring it to the surface, crying about how bad their life is, and make true cutters feel like crap. Do not cut for pitty.

you have no idea.

Cutting is much difffernt from alcoholism for alcoholism effects the society and that person becomes a drain on other people. Cutting is a stress reliever like say.. smoking (which i hate) cutting kills less than smoking.

i agree that it is a sickness. i agree that it is not the best thing. but i also believe that no one is perfect. Cutting, unfortunatly, is great. it feels good. it… hmmm.. how to explain..? it is warm. It does not hurt (unless you do it wrong) and wrist-type cutting (the type of cutting most people think of) is a suicide attempt. Wrong. Bad. I would NEVER say that was a good thing. But you people… saying that it is AWFUL. how do you think a cutter would view themselves in your shadow. Sure you may help one person get attention and feel ‘better’, but you make 6+ others hate themselves more. Hate the world more. the author of the post is not the only one reading.

ok, so people that go down the road at 100 miles an hour don’t realise that they could die from one “slip up” they should be hospitalized. this action could kill them.

you only think that kind of stuff happens because that is the only time you hear about cutters–after their dead. (which is few–this does not include the serious suicides) I am talking about cutting as… a religion if you will. (most cutters have knowledge of where, how, ect to cut)

That was a beautiul post Tee. Thank You. However i don’t cut… anymore. I want to. I quit because it became a problem for those around me. I just needed to defend those who don’t defend themselves.
Honestly, do you feel bad for drug addicts? If we all had the means, we’d all be drug addicts. You can’t bash something until you’ve tried it.

well duh. and if you were rich and never had to WORK to get your fix, you would be an addict. maybe not to drugs but to something. we as middle class do NOT have the means.
