I need help. I am doing all I can do. I have two children,one 17 and the other is 10. Its the 10 Year old I am worried about. He lives with his mother, (m.m.downum) she has not been taking care of him. cps has been involved sence 2004. I am going to court to get him. I am down to my last penny. everyone seems to think i will get him out of there though no one knows that I am now broke. between the lawyer of 5000 dollars, the gardan add let item 750.00 dollars and the supervised vistiation, so fare 800.00. Plus getting a home 1800.00 mo, The list goes on. I have to show everything is in place in order to get him out. CPS is not helping. they support me and come to my personal recuse in regards to my reputation. Though acording to them they are to support the family structure in place. They were orginaly going to take both children out of the home. Though Mrs. Downum called her lawyer and she contacted them and had a service agreement set up. Mrs downum haveing signed this agreement is now aloud to contenue taking care of the children. Family services is now handleing the case. yesterday as well as this last weekend the police were called that would be twice. I spoke to family services today requesting the fds reports for the last two mo. and asked how things were going.( if the children were ok.) i also asked if Mrs Downum broke her service agreement and she said no. later today my oldest called telling me about the police. I dont know what to do. My children are just a number, family services is over worked and under paid. I am running out of money and am doing everything i can to keep up. A capitalized system that values money over the welfare of the children. everything is just bissaness as useual. The oldest is taking care of the yongest. he would just come home. but matt needs him. my children have lost faith in the system that is there to protect them. my oldest has told me that there is nothing that anyone can do be caues his mom has all the power. I am part of the eightys generation. and for those who have been paying attention. i am sure you have seen the many women on tv. the teachers brought up on charges the astront and many others. not everyone get cought. I need help
