im an 8th grader and i want to know how do you tell between some one flirting with you or them just being a tease?

u see theres this girl i like, we’ll call her flirt. everyday me and flirt, well flirt…at least i am. i like her but im not sure she likes me which is my problm and another thing is that when im around her i do stupid crap like saying dumb jokes or being mean which is completely immature on my part.i think that if i were to go out with her it would be because i like her personality not so much physical attraction. for instance if we went to a funny movie i wouldnt go just to make out like some other people i think we’d actually watch the movie and have a good time but im still not even sure if im just on the friend list or if im just a guy she talks to. so i guess my real problem is how to have the guts and ask her out w/o making a fool out of myself.

I’m an 8th grade teacher (don’t hate me) and I see hundreds of kids in this situation and it sounds like from the way you act around her that it is obvious that you like her. If she didn’t like you back, you would know by now. It sounds to me like she likes you.

If you want to ask her out but you are nervous, you could bring up a movie or concert or whatever you’re thinking about asking her to. Then just chit chat about it and see if she is acting positive. If she is saying stuff like “yeah, I heard that movie was really good!” or something like that, it means she’d go with you. If she doesn’t want to go out with you she would not act interested at all and change the subject or whatever. So if she is still being flirty or interested at this point, just say, “We should go!” and if she says yes, set it up and it’s done.

Funny thing, I’m in the same situation but am afraid that if the girl I like doesn’t like me my last four days of class with her will be a little awkward

I just figured out a plan though, there’s this girl, on my bus, I told her who I like and am going to have her tell the girl I like that well, I like her.
