Very irritable (Did I spell it right?

) I fly off the handle so easily, and I don’t know why. I have anxiety but it’s been going alright for a few weeks now——One little thing can go wrong in one of my days (small like, can’t find a shirt to wear) and it turns into me screaming, ranting and practically crying even though I have a lot of shirts to wear. I’ll go from that to screaming about my weight and my hair and wanting to cut it off etc.

I know its driving my fiance crazy & I can’t understand why I do this. I over exaggerate things, throw things– It’s not an everyday thing thankfully. I need help. I’m not into taking medications, hence I try to handle my panic disorder without any. How could I relax and take everything easy.

It takes a lot of work!

I’m writing - it doesn’t always help but sometimes it does.

Try getting yourself a referral for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy if you can.Takes a while to help but if you get a good therapist it can do some long term help.

Stroke a dog or a cat. It’s supposed to stimulate hormones to combat stress.

Try sit ups when you are cross until you hurt and can’t do any more. You’ll ware the anger out of you!

You are not going to change over night. But some of these things might help!

Meditation. Try it, it’s what keeps me sane.

I would think that when you notice yourself starting to fly off the handle you should distance yourself from whatever is causing you stress. wlk away from it for a while and think over what it is that you are freakin out about. If you are getting really upset about what shirt to wear then walk away and say to yourself “does it really even matter? Is it really worth all the trouble I am putting into it?” Take a few deep breaths, run a few laps around the house, whatever it takes to calm you down. I think that Billy has a good idea…. I have found I really enjoy yoga. Not only does it give me some quiet me time, but it makes my body feel GREAT, healthy and strong. You can take yoga classes at your local YMCA, or if you don’t have a YMCA handy they sell a million videos on it. Just make sure you say this is MY time to reflect and relax; don’t let people, the phone, the dog, the man, anything distract you.

Nope, not pregnant–I’ve gotten like this before, when I was younger I think. I’ll try to relax more and all—I’ve heard of yoga through a friend of mine. I’ve tried it but I can never seem to stick to anything.

i sometimes get like this but bottle it up.. i freak out but keep it inside my head which i think might be worse cos it drives me insane! i did go to my dr and eventually got prescribed meds for panic/anxiety etc i wasnt too keen on taking them at first but i have tried a small dose and its helped quite a bit (especially with my insomnia.. used to get so irritated i wouldnt be able to sleep!)
however you mentioned you dont like meds.. would you try a herbal supplement? i fould using kava kava helped me a LOT and i would recommend it.. google it and see if you think it would help you
take care

I used to be ok with relaxtion techniques and never used to snap at things but the thing is before i used to wait and do things later in few days only thing is i felt very tired some days when finished work the reason is because if you think about same things over and over again without doing something you won’t move forward you will stay back but while i have had more fun recently doing the things i do,by not being in house as much i have actually been alot more snappy because i don’t like people disrespecting me
