check if the wires are connected properly

volume on your speaker and in your computer turned up?

lastly go to control panel > system. From there choose the ‘hardware’ tab in the window and click on the ‘Device Manager’ button. Check if your sound stuff are installed there or if anything is wrong.. if it is than you might need to reinstall your sound card driver stuff..

If you have Windows XP, go to “Start”–>”Control Panel”–> “Sound and Audio Devices” make sure nothing is muted, under “Advanced” speaker control—make sure your set up is correct.

if you have a special program on your computer to handle audio devices ( ex. an acer desktop may have “Realtek HD audio Manager”) so go there and make sure your seting are correct

you may have blown the speakers by listening to music too loudly, try different speakers.

If the speaker works on other computers/mp3 player, the sound card is properly set into the slot or not broken, and the volume control up and not muted… I’m guessing it’s your card’s driver thats not installed properly.

Download the latest sound driver from the sound card’s manufacturer.
