This is going to sound quite strange, actually really, really strange and I can’t blame you for not having an answer.

I am on accutane and, sigh, no I am not psycotic or schizophrenic, but I felt that god didnt want me on accutane, and I felt that he would take away some of my intelligence, becouse I am focusing too much on my looks by taking it for my acne. I guess the question is…..well…….how do I know if god is talking to me and, it is not just my imagination coming up with random thoughts? It is causing me quite a but of grief so if u do have any suggestions please tell me :) thx

Don’t worry about it mate. God wants you to be happy. I don’t think that he really cares if you take acne medication or not. And God talks to different people in different ways.

Well this is something to think about. I would have to say that God would never take away your intelligence. He’s all about the positives and building up, not the tearing down. Taking Acne medication isn’t a vain thing to do if acne causes you to lose sight of who God is. It means that your acne is a distraction and God would prefer that you do whatever it takes to put more focus on him.

Now about actually hearing Him I can’t say. Just know that you get suggestions from both sides and if the devil can’t take you under he’ll pull you over and try to screw you on the up side. So read the Word and if what the voice says doesn’t match up with what the Bible says and what His Word says than it’s not Him.

Hi,
“So read the Word and if what the voice says doesn’t match up with what the Bible says and what His Word says than it’s not Him.”
I totally agree with this statement… God can communicate with us in different ways, read His Word, and if if matches up with it then hold fast what is true and if it doesn’t then don’t worry about it… If it is God’s word to you then it will match up with His Word…
