There is a feature in windows that reverses your keyboard as far as caps locks is concerned and causes all the other keys to be the symbols I could not get it turn off per the screen selection which was select cancel

Hold the right shift key down for eight seconds and the “filter keys” window will appear I ended up setting the feature to turn off after five minutes of inactivity as the cancel feature does not work

If you’ve already activated Filter Keys by accident, you can put a stop to the Filter Keys behavior by pressing both shift keys at the same time. Once you do that, keyboard operations will go back to normal.

try stopping the behavior by pressing both shift keys at the same time. Once you do that, keyboard operations will go back to normal.
