Have you tried contacting the companies where you live to see if they would sponsor you? Monterrey is a very large city (grandote!) with lots of helpful people, and I’m sure there is someone that would be generous enough to help. For example, contact El Norte. Maybe they would be willing to advertise your need for funds for free. I find that companies are more likely to help out someone locally, so try first the companies that are based in Monterrey. I would contact companies and try to setup a meeting with the owner. Some may laugh, but others will respect your diligence. Also, what about your church? Is there someone there with the financial means to help you? Unfortunately, I am in a bind myself and cannot offer any money. I actually came to this site because I’ve been very depressed about my financial situation and saw you were in Monterrey. I have visited Monterrey many times and love it (except for the driving).
But, also try to contact famous artists that you think might help your cause. The gente of Mexico have always seemed very generous towards their paisanos. So give it a shot! The worst thing you will hear is no. good luck!
