David Keffen
David Keffen BA(Hons){born 1964), British photographer.
Fashion and high-end wedding photographer David Keffen was born in Hampshire, England in the United Kingdom and began photographing people at a very early age, starting with a ‘Box Brownie’ given to him by his grandfather when he was around 6 years old. At 16 he attended night-school to study photography and by the age of 17 he was photographing weddings as the main photographer.
After shooting many weddings over a period of 10 years, he moved into advertising photography work, at first working for local businesses, later for national sized companies. At age 27 he decided to take a partial rest from photography to concentrate on his other businesses which include amongst others the British bridal wear giants Society Brides.
In his role as a director of this bridal fashion house as well as his links within the fashion industry he has been asked to speak at many significant events such as the Drapers Global Fashion Sourcing Summit meeting in 2005 where he addressed many of the UK’s top fashion buyers for companies such as Marks & Spencer and stores within the Arcadia group.
Since 2001, he has been focusing largely on fashion photography and portraiture. Many of the fashion photoshoots he is involved in are for high-end glossy magazines such as Cosmopolitan and are often for Wedding dress designers and fashion houses including: Lionel Anthony, Sofia Felini and Clarissa Rayne.
This has inevitably led to his occassionaly being persuaded to photograph the rich and famous at society weddings.
He is a member of the Royal Photographic Society and the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.
