Money help: Hello, I am a 47 year old mother of 4 and I need a second chance, - Help.com

Hello, I am a 47 year old mother of 4 and I need a

second chance, I need to be able to re-finance my house with a lower rate, but due to a bad marriage and bad decisions I have not been able to refinance and get from this high mortgage, does anyone know of any loan company that will give me a second chance, my credit score is only 490. If I could get a re-fi, I could pay the debts off on my credit report and get back on track. I am just drowning financially does anyone know of anything that could help me?

Find a financial counselor. You will probably need to sell your current house and buy a smaller HUD home if you qualify. Use the extra money to pay off as many of your high-interest credit cards. Your credit score will go up immediately after that. Then you can start fresh and build from there. Good luck.

Thank You-SoCo, but my 87yr old mother and her 90yr old sister lives with me and right now I can not move. I really don’t have any credit cards, it is just a lot of bills that my ex left me with that I was not aware of until after the fact.

Try Lending Tree, as you can go to Google and enter Lending Tree.

Depending on where you live, many states have not for profit organizations that will work with your credit agencies so they at least stop the bad reporting on your credit report, and give you time to catch up. And Qzzzzz mentioned LendingTree, not a bad idea. My credit is shot and they found me a mortgage company: Windsor Financial.
