Which version of AVG are you using and is it licensed for remote administration? These would be the first things to check. Also, which port would you like to open? I found several procedures online for opening various ports. In the meantime, I’ll provide you with the link for the AVG technical support FAQ, which is organized by subject. They also have 24 hour live tech support for registered users available on the home page of the link I’m sending you. Have you tried the AVG Configuration Wizard?

7.5 and Whats Remote Administration. Port 65535 and yes I have tried the Configuration Wizard but didn’t work.

the free version does not have a firewall, This is a common problem, u gotta create a rule. Its confusing as hell, very unnessesary.
