Is there anyone out there that can help me with getting my house worked on to make it accessable for my husband and myself.

He is disabled by his heart he has 3 issues going on all at once.He has congested heart failure and cardio myopothy and his heart is only functioning at 17 % and he has to have a bi pap machine when he sleeps. I am physically disabled with familial spastic paraplegia a disease that has not been investigated a lot and there isn’t much that can be done for those who have it.Except taking different drugs that make you very tired and you are in a wheelchair. He is going on disability and I am in the process of applying for it and I am looking for employment and I have not had any luck. I have been trying to contact different agencies to help with getting my house worked on and I have not had any luck yet. I know by the grace of God something will come through soon.

Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a social services clearing house… some group you could call on to help you find all the correct organizations. Maybe your church has a person who can point you in the correct directions. Start with a shotgun approach. contact all the agencies you can think of. Ask them if they have or know of any one who will come out to survey your situation. Alway ask for more ideas. Let everyone know what kind of help you need. Let everone know the need is immediate.

If your husband was ever in service you might try the va in your area I know they helped with my father when he was ill also if you have a local carpenters union they sometimes will have members who are willing to help the carpenters union in our area when we lived in fl helped builda ramp for us also the electrical union did some work for us with lighting. I hope this helps you as I know what its like my dad was ill from the time I was 8 to his passing a yr ago.
