Not a happy birthday.

Today is my birthday but instead of celebrating it and enjoying it I am having to go to the bank to handle a fraudulent check that someone wrote on my account. It has cause me to become overdrawn and to top it all off I get paid tomorrow and my check is going towards the overdraft fees. I talked to the bank and they told me that it would take 5 days just to investigate it. What do I do in the meantime? I have bills due and the main reason that I chose my bank is because they are suppose to protect you from identity theft.

I have already got loans out with finance companies just to so that I could stay afloat while I was going through college and training for the job that I am in now. It is not paying that much since I am a newbie to medical transcription. I can work all the hours that I need but that is not going to help me out at this point. My check that I am receiving tomorrow will be less than $300 since I had to take off to help my oldest daughter move to Colorado.

I would greatly appreciate it if there was any help out there. Any and I do mean any amount would be helpful no matter how small. I would appreciate prayers and any suggestions also.

Thanks,
Bizymom

there has to be someone in the bank that you can speak to about holding of on those overdrawn fees.the bank should be responsible to a certain extent as they cannot charge you overdrawn fees while they lok into the fraud cheque matter.on your other loans with finance you should look into combining all of the together this will cut down the amount of interest you pay

What bank do you use? That’s happened to me before. My bank gave me back my money and no fees. Then did the investigation. Usually the way it works is if the charge is true (you did it) then they take the money back out or bill you if you already used it.
You should talk to a manager. Explain the situtaion.
Happy birthday anyway.
