house help: I am a preschool teacher in a very rural area of West Virginia. - Help.com

I am a preschool teacher in a very rural area of West Virginia.

Last night I received a phone call from one of the parents. She informed me that there was a house fire that destroyed the entire home of one of my students’. It is devastating to find something out like this, especially when I live 50 miles away from where I teach. I read on some of the chats that contacting some of the large retail outlets can help; however, does any one know who I could contact to help them rebuild their home. The child is 5, she lives with her grandmother, who adopted her when she was a few months old. I would really like to help them rebuild their home, I’m just not sure who I can contact. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

Best place to try is the local community! The local population is going to be more inclined to help.
