Day help: I quit drinking 4 days ago (it had to be done). - Help.com

I quit drinking 4 days ago (it had to be done).

The problem at this point is falling asleep- I’ll be awake ’till 4am, then fall into that sort of half-sleep. Any falling asleep advice?

If you drink caffeine cut back on it.
If you aren’t really active, start doing something small like going on short walks.

Diet and exercise can really effect your sleep schedule.

read a book at bedtime and when you wake in the middle of the night. And “where the wild thing..”, may be too short.

just do the “bedtime essentials”-i.e taking a warm bath, drinking some milk, read a book, maybe even watch some television…and see if any of those can help you become tired. just don’t sit on the internet-that ends up keeping you awake much longer than intended
