well i know this sounds kind of dumb, but if you drink something like milk or warm tea, even a cappuccino usually that helps alot, water sometimes works if your desperate. i’ve definitely been in that situation more than once. try to find a comfort thing that you can always turn 2, a movie or a cookie, just something that makes you feel happier.

I know how you feel, I felt the same way not to long ago, try to create a little area that makes you feel at home, add objects or pictures. Shape your environment, don’t let it shape you. Keep in mind that life is a journey and things are not permanent, who knows what could happen tomorrow? This is just another chapter of the book, concentrate on the good pictures. Try to smile, even if you feel sad. I hope you can feel better, I know there is no place like home, but this will have to do at least for now. (thats what I tell myself). Goodluck!

Hi Mojo,
Homesick… You’ve got Georgia on your mind?
Are both of you American, or are your husband a Swede?

Really nice cops in Atlanta. I overspeeded VERY much on your city highway early one morning, had to do the spread-leg leaning on the car and such. My license wasn’t correct either (not internat’l), but they let me go without a ticket (”welcome to Atlanta, take it easy on our roads”).

Huge airport, nice people and climate, that’s about what I remember.
Oh now I remember, there was a very nice lake southeast of the city!

Im in the same situation. I dont know where your at, but im only about 200 miles from home and i drive back home almost every weekend. Its hard living away from home. People say about after a year of living away from home its not so bad, so far thats been the truth. Keep yourself occupied with things. Meet new people. Make new friends. Go out with to places you wouldnt normally go. With every new friend you make you dont miss home as much. Where are you living right now? Where were you living? I never thought moving away from home would be this much torture, but i guess i know now the meaning of homesick.
