anyone a VET?
?CAn you shed some light…… this story came from a person i do know… any thoughts to it…..
We laid our little Ruby to rest today.Ruby is a 2 1/2 year old SHITZU I still cant stop crying.It was like losing our baby.She seemed fine 3 days ago.The she started vomiting.Not alot,so I just figured it was the heat.Then yesterday I noticed a little blood in her stool.We are not near a 24hr vet so I snuggled her and we both fell asleep..Later in the evening she seemed to be really thirsty ..All she wanted to do was drink. she seemed to hold it down.She then decided she wanted to go to bed.So off she went upstairs.
About 1 hr later one of my boys was screaming.I ran to see.Just as I was about to go upstairs I saw what he was screaming about.There was about 2-3 cups of blood on the stairs and very foul smelling. We ran to find the dog and she was sleeping at the foot of my bed.She looked very tired and from what I could
see the blood had come from her bum.In stayed up all night with her and all she wanted to do was drink.It got so bad she would fall asleep in her water dish.So finally I wrapped her up and brought her to bed with me.Its about 3am by now.
I woke up around 5 and she wasn’t in my bed..My son came upstairs and was crying and said “Mom Ruby don’t look too good”.So I grabbed my housecoat and downstairs I went.I picked her up and she was cold(she hadn’t been gone yet)I wrapped her in a blanket and we sat with her.She started moving her paw as if she was saying good by.Then she took her last breath.
Its been a very hard day.Like I said its like losing a member of your family.She always slept in my bed so needless to say thats why I’m awake.
I don’t know what killed her and have searched the web high and low.Any ideas as to what may have happened would give us a little peace.Its just so hard tonight to go to sleep without her
