Cheese songs!

!!!!
Okay, it’s the time you’ve all been waiting for. I have finally collected enough cheese related text and I am posting them as promised.
First of all, I’d like to put my own cheese songs. I wrote the first one while having a cheese-crazy moment, and I wrote the second one just because I felt like it. So without further ado, here they are.

my song about cheese
i like cheese!
cheese cheese cheese
do you like cheese?
cheese is good
yum yum yum!

my other song about cheese
cheese is very good-a
my favourite cheese is gouda
cheese is very yummy,
it feels good in my tummy
yum yum yum yum cheese
i want some more cheese please!

Those are my songs, now here are some things other people say about cheese:

Four different ways to say I like cheese:
I like cheese- English.
J’aime fromage- French.
Me gusto queso- Spanish.
Eu gosto de queijo- Portuguese.
Jag tycker om ost-swedish

You’ve just got ask this user http://help.com/user/43446-limon Just look at his avatar.

There is the classic Monty Python Cheese shop comedy skit:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheese_S…
It is also available on youtube.

Frank Zappa had Suzy Creamcheese as one of the characters he referred to in song.

I swiss you gouda luck in finding cheese songs and hope the effort is not too grating!

There was a man, lived in the moon in the moon in the moon
There was a man, lived in the moon and his name was Aitken Drum
His face was made of cheese cheese cheese
His face was made of cheese and his name was Aitken Drum

The cheese song
(sung to tune of “supercalifragilisticexpealidocious”)
Mozzarella provolone parmesan ricotta
Once that you have tasted it you’ll want to eat a lot-a
To cook it all you have to do is throw it in a pot-a

The Cheese Song

I went into a restaurant last night to have supper
There were things that were in season and things that were out.
We had cow’s head and cod’s head and sheep’s head and liver
And then after that we had ice-cream and stout.

And when I had tasted of everything
I told the waiter to go out and bring….

Cheese in, cheese in, waiter bring the cheese in do.

The waiter brought the cheese in, it was coloured like the rainbow;
Red and Yellow and Blue
The waiter broght the cheese in and the cheese was sneezing.
Sneezing like a cockatoo.

And when I walked out that restaurant, that little piece of Gorgonzolla walked out too.

It followed me home and it sat on the doorstep
It threatened to kill me if I shut it out.
So I opened the door and it ran in the lobby,

And Pa with the fender gave that cheese a clout.

Spoken: Pa hit it with the fender, Ma threw it down the drain. And when that cheese came back in the morning it was wearing a panama.

So we telephoned down for a couple of policemen,
And our lodger Jim The Militia came in,
He stabbed it three times with the neck of his bayonet,
And it ran in the garden behind the dustbin.

And when the rain was pouring down hard,
You could hear the cheese signing in our back yard:

“Everybody’s loved by someone,
Everybody knows it’s true.
Red cheese, green cheese, blue cheese, yellow cheese,
They’re all loved it’s true.

But…!

I’m a bit of Gorgonzola,
Sitting on the back yard wall,
And I seem to be the only bit of cheese,
That nobody loves at all.

Our next door neighbour came into the garden,
Smoking a penny cigar with great pride.
The cheese gave a gasp and it shouted, “I’m choking!”
And gave a few flip-flops and lay down and died….

Epilogue:

If you go down Paddington Green,
There’s a tombstone to be seen.
And the words are neat indeed in memory of our cheese:

It fought against Russia, it fought ‘gainst Japan,
It fought like a cheese and it died like a man,
Now it’s buried in the ground with the grass growing round
And that’s the end of the Gorgonzolla cheese.

The Cheese Moon
I’ve heard it said by many around,
that the moon is made of cheese they found.
It’s mined by little spacemen mice,
who sell it for a handsome price.
The cheese we eat all comes from there,
from cheddar valleys beyond compare.
And in the rivers of Wensleydale,
The mice scoop cheese in metal pails.
If you peek up you might just see,
The Gorgonzola heights of Ghee.
And to the left and up a bit,
On Stilton Mountains mice do sit.
So next time you sit down to cheese,
remember the mice on Parmesan seas.
Who work non stop in their spacemen hats,
Just glad that they’re out of reach of cats!

You are, demawno, you are.
It’s just to start.

And lolo, I agree with your mother. Your roots is a gift, don’t give it away by not learning the language of part of your roots. Latvian is such “a little” language, spoken by few. You have relatives who still don’t speak English. Latvia is also on the go economically (member of EC since 2004), and there will be opportunities for Americans knowing Latvian.

Learn it if you don’t think it sucks too much! Start with the funny-to-know phrases. Like “Es tevi mīlu”.

(to all of you other people, that is TinTin telling his dog Milou: “It is a TV, Milou!”) Lol

I like all sorts of cheese. You just use them differently.
Some types smell awful, but tastes good.

Like certain Danish and French cheese. If you touch it, your finger will smell as a used diaper for three days. But such cheese on a piece of bread, with some sweet marmelade, tastes heavenly!

Also I, but I got disappointed when getting an American cheesecake. Not that it wasn’t good, but it was unexpectedly another thing from what I used to eat.

A cheescake here is a dessert. It is less firm in it’s consistence and has a faint flavour of almond. It’s made in the oven as a very thick pie-looking thing, light yellow and of course with a brown top surface.

It’s best enjoyed lukewarm (warm but not hot) to enhance the taste, together with (not whipped) cream and cloudberries (the raw-made jam).

Yummie yummie!

It is, so I have eaten… American cheese and cheddar. And milk and like… three kinds of ice cream. That’s pretty much it. I can’t think of a lot of things I can’t eat… how about lasagna? Is that good?

Well, I eat icecream and I like the taste, but I never went two yards extra for any icecream. I want FOOD! So the fancy tastes are just wasted on me.

The same goes for fancy tea tastes. I like tea, but I try to keep perfume or aftershave separated from my tea. Some of those herb teas smell like that.If my girlfriends don’t stop serving such tea for me, I will make tea on a hammer and a wrench for them, lol.

Wahoo!! Cheesecake!!! *dances*
I get the Lactaid brand stuff- they do have milk and some cheese and stuff, but not too too much. Just basic stuff. Pills don’t work for me. :(

Ooh, I love tea… but only if it tastes good. I don’t care how fancy it is, if it tastes like crap, I’m not gonna like it. And with stuff like ice cream… I would want to try all those flavors, but only because I CAN’T. If I could eat them all the time, I probably wouldn’t care as much. Haha.

So, how severe is your intolerance?
Actually all adults ought to have it. The pill Heather speaks about is a substitute for an enzym you can’t produce.

Most adults have some digestion problems which actually are caused by this lack of the enzyme.

One problem is that they still know too little about allergies. I realize that some cases were not always reported or diagnosed earlier. But even taking that into account, the number of people with allergies has increased dramatically.

I guess it’s because of the pollution and even more because of all atrificial stull we have around us, or even eat! (like cool-aid and other entirely artificial food)

I agree with Heather, I think lactose free things taste exactly the same. *shrugs*

Oh, I hate anything artificial. I try never to have anything like that, but I’m sure I still do. And yes! Exactly, everything that I can’t eat looks sooo good, but in reality, it’s probably average tasting.
…ewww. Horse sh**?

Heather, from where do you start? Do you buy lactose-free milk to make the cheese from? (or do you have a lactose-free cow?)
But where do you get the various cheese tastes from?
