technology, I need help with Windows Movie Maker please?

Umm… so I’m supposed to make a video on Sunday, and I decided to try work this out before Sunday.
I recorded something with my camera, and it plays on Windows Media Player, Quicktime and everything, but I can’t seem to edit it on Movie Maker.
Help?

it says “it is not valid for the Windows Movie Maker project file” or something..

Do I need to change the format or something?

Hmm that might be the problem I think it doesn’t support AVI… Hmm you might have to change to format, There might be somthing usfull on the web.

hey i just tried to open avi in my comp and windows movie maker has no probs loading it. You might have given File->Open Project .Try Import Media

HElp ME!! Im so LOsT browsing the video maker. I had problem to convert AVI but managed to do it on other pc(which uses windows Xp). now that i have avi file to edit in video maker, the error was only the audio come out but not the video.does it have to do with codec? gimme link or tips to go about it. thanks
