Did anyone read the 7th book I want to know what happens!

I’m trying not to have any thoughts about the plot! Can’t wait to get it tomorrow though!

that sounds cool, just make sure you don’t read any news reports, someone is bound to put a story out about who dies! my fave is the first one, you can’t beat the excitement of getting to diagon alley! the sixth one was a bit dark for me.

the third was interesting, as she led you to believe sirius was someone out to hurt harry, then you found out the truth… I can’t wait for all the loose ends to be tied up in this final book!

I loved the 5th book…I could really identify with some of the things Harry goes through in that one. My copy of the 7th book shipped today!

last book i read in 22 hours…was knackered, but it was so worth it. I can’t believe this will be the last one now!

i know what you mean, she created such a storm with her books, they will be some of the most famous books ever now, and she got so many children reading too!

My theory? I try not to come up with them, since I don’t want to raise any expectations or assumptions. That only can lead to disappointment.

i know, its ridiculous. its only because she takes the magic she writes about from true paganism, so a lot of parents won’t let them read the books! I think they are amazing books, they make you feel like you’re there.

I think my copy is going to arrive on the release date…so either tomorrow or the 21st.

welll i just got into harry potter bc i went with my best friend to see it on her birthday and i fell in love with pro.snape…soo my theory would be that harry dies and professor snape lives ahahah lol yeap

I think that no real MAIN protagonist is going to die.
I believe that things will end good…
HOWEVER,
there will be a little comment made near the end that could lead to a 8th book.

I’ve been to England for 3 days before, When I was 16! Me and my mom did a 3-4 day lay-over before going to see family in Belgium.

I’m sure she will write another book about that world, but I don’t think she needs to with the amount of money she made!!

i truly doubt dumbledore’s dead. i’m suspecting that Snape is really good and they faked the death to fool voldie. harry better not die, everything’s getting so dark and depressing already, it’s just like, great, now he’s dead. well THAT was pointless…

Slightly scared! The ferrari was the quickest, 140mph is what i took it up to before i had to brake and turn… its just amazing, your adrenaline rushes and you end up with a HUGE grin on your face!

the interesting thing is that she won’t have to kill him off to end the series.

i was just thinking about sir conan doyle who several times tried to kill off sherlock holmes because he wanted to write about other stuff, but the resulting public outcry forced him to continue it. jkrowling won’t have to kill harry because he’ll be leaving hogwarts, and that will have enough finality to prevent people from insisting she continue the story…

exactly, it’ll be like - Harry has to get on with his life now, and that chapter of his life is finished.

exactly, she said on the Jonathan Ross show (that was the interview she did about it) that she was howling after she wrote out one of the characters, and Hagrid is so loveable, it may well be him :(

jkrowling’s definitely got it made in the shade as an author, though, anything and everything she puts out after this will be immediately bought and enshrined by harry potter fans… that must be nice :)

usually things turn out well in her earlier books. she has veered from that in the later ones, but i believe she will stay true to a pleasant ending, even if a few characters are lost, but i think this is just what i want to happen, and not what i think will happen.

The fifth movie was okay, but it seemed to be rushed. They cover the first 15 chapters in about 15 minutes. I thought it was pretty cool though, I went and saw it in IMAX 3D. I thought that the whole movie would be in 3D, but it turns out only the last 20 minutes are 3D:-(
But they Picked an Awesome 20 Minutes to make 3D!!!

i hope that she does write more in the magic world. i just want her to put some finality to this story so she doesn’t end up dieng before the series is complete… and it probably wont be as good later….

that is so true, her first books were almost cuddly by comparison to her last ones… she has got to write to a growing audience now, as adults wouldn’t be interested in cute little kid stories where no-one got hurt.
She said she may well write some more, and never say never, so it is very likely that she will, but not for another 10 years or so, as she has been working on harry potter for the last 17 years!

i think they will, as she has established herself as an excellent writer, the question is..will they have the same impact as Harry Potter has?

She may write other books, and I hope they are about someone from like Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff… We never see those houses. I just hope if she does write again, it will be about magic and stuff like that.

i think she’d probably switch genres completely, try something new. as an author, it would an interesting challenge for her that she’d probably be willing to try after doing fantasy for so long

for them its like a masterpiece they keep building. i try to connect the books i write with each other distantly, but i dont think she is the type to keep writing in the same series. she will try something new, if anything.

she touches on that stuff in her books though,how could she make it more interesting?

i seriously doubt that, because even without her hp credit, she’s a great writer

who knows what would make the best story, but a prequil would definetely be loved by all fans, no matter how bad it turned out.

last nite me and my friends went out to see swarms of witches and wizards all over the place and there was 1 really long queue with a couple of ppl with witchey hats on and a pathetic litl queue and a fish and chip van! not what i was expecting for the book that nobody will shut up about.

It was definately her best writing yet…one minute i was laughing, next next i’d be holding my hand to my mouth in shock! The truth about snape was unreal, i think that might have been the reason she was crying so much as she knew the truth about his intentions! When i was reading about his memories, i did shed a tear at the thought he was in love with lily all those years and truly did care about harry.
Dobby dying was awful, and when lupin and tonks died, i had tears in my eyes again! Fred dying was probably the worst, as he was such a loveable character. I agree that the walk to the woods when harry knew he had to die was very stirring, she came so far with her writing over the years!
Neville had the sword because voldemort put the sorting hat on his head, the same way harry did in the chamber of secrets, and he called the sword, as only a true gryffindor can do.
