I have been dying my hair for 10+ years!

pick a color i have done it!! not blue pinks oranges! real colors but for the past 2 to 3 years my hair doesn’t take color anymore!! how do i get highlights again in my hair or do half blonde half black and brown!?

I’m not expert, but bleaching, then dyeing should work.

Overall, I’d only really be worried about dyes hurting my scalp or roots — hair grows back.

but i have done blonde highlights and they don’t take!! I HATE BEING A GIRL! Sometimes i’m mean!! LOL

if u go to the nearest beauty place, they will strip the color out of ur hair than they will put you natural color back then u are free 2 do what ever color u want

ok this is the thing 4 weeks ago i wanted the blonde out of my hair for a dinner thing with my family so i dyed my hair brown all over! left in for 30 mins didn’t take still have blonde highlights in my hair!

Depends how dry your hair is, if its fairly dry then the colur would fade fast but for it not to take at all is odd. Was it a permenant colour or was it a semi?
Also what colour are the highlights you have, are they bleached ones or highlift?
Maybe try picking the highlighted bits out and colouring them 10 mins b4 the rest of it so they have colour on for longer, if all else fails then go to nearest hairdressers and ask their advice. I am a hairdresser but without seeing your hair and what condition its in i can’t realy give the answer
