Are a lot of Americans stupid?
I wouldn’t answer too quickly. Take a look at this before you decide.

Jesus, and I was about to defend them… sorry I wudn’t feel right after that.
I don’t think this is helpful to anybody. These people are answering as if they are on a gameshow in LA, not as if they are there to test the IQ of the entire country.
Sevenfold: the video singles them out
Find a video like this from another country, and we’ll talk.
After watching that I just have to ask, do you think the people who believe that all Americans are that stupid just as stupid as the people on that clip? First off lets say they really are that dumb. Aren’t they just believing what is told to them? How is that any different from someone watching this clip and having it tell them that a lot of Americans are stupid and believing it?
I for one think there are a lot of stupid people in this world. Ones that can’t think for themselves. As for finding one for another country so that you can talk, if I must, here… http://www.break.com/index/56-percent…
Obviously this is edited with a bios, but come on, Irish folk on the street know more about the states and their foreign policy then these people. Again once more I’m gonna pawn off this link; http://video.google.com/videoplay?doc…
What I mean is: There are stupid people everywhere. And they only showed the ones who got the answers wrong; they may have had to ask people for weeks before they got that many. Americans are just the more popular targets.
And really, who can name all 51 states? At once? (Or is it 52? Even I don’t know.)
I’m American, I would like greatly to see what others think. I’m not attacking anyone or anything like that It would be a big help to me and my understanding of the world if I could just see how people view us.
The best way to see how other countries see us is to goto them and just talk to people.
Watch the **** link, the plan was to make us hate the U.S. Te Americans aren’t the stupid ones, we are for believing this negative propaganda
Yes. We are stoopid.
That would be a step I’d take, Naska. Just waiting to win the lottery so I can afford it.
Believe me you go ask around in other countries and you will not like what you here, it’s verry fasionable to hate americans at the moment
to be honest its not entirely america its people in general. a person can be intelligent but gather people together and they get hysterical and stupid.
No, I don’t want anyone to hate anyone. Seeing how things really are has nothing to do with hate.
We Americans are not all that stupid. Those specimens make us look bad lol!
its not about hate dude. people are just dumb. like when im by myself and talking 1 on 1 with someone i can be intelligetn but if im in a group of my friends i act stupid and like an idiot. lol. its how everyone reacts.
Not all Americans are stupid, of course, but yes. There are far too many people who don’t know or understand the issues. They’re out there voting, and that greatly affects the country in a negative way.
Americans (middle to lower income Americans, the 53% that voted for Bush) dont take the time to, or view it as important or vital to their well-being to be educated about ‘worldy’ things. One reason is the baby boomers raised their children to live in a vacuum and focus on making money and their family, another is it was at one time unpopular to be considered “smart” and the majority of Evangelical Christians are taught that “being in the world but not of it” means it is okay not to know about the world around them. Not knowing state and country names comes not from our education system but from a belief by parents and teachers that practical knowledge learned in college will get oyu much farther than geography, history, and math… plus with all the TV we watch, its easy to see how knowledge learned in high school is lost. But the main reason, I think, is that because America is so competitive (”keeping up with the Jones’s” etc) we focus on only what we need to know.. our job, what it takes to keep our family afloat, and the most popular things fed to us by the media so we can keep up in a conversation.
Should we care what poeple think of us? NO, that only makes it worse. What can we do? Expand our interests outside of TV or blogging and find things about other places that interest us (and not turn to CNN or local papers for news). Sorry I went on for so long
This is true, for the most part you’re allowing those fundamentalist evangalists speak for you and they are dangerouse
Being naive about global issues and history doesn’t make on stupid. Like Sophie said, it’s kind of to be expected. I’m sure if you went to another large country they wouldn’t know many of those things either.
I’ve even spoken with people around the world and have found out I know more about their countries history then they do. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, it’s just the truth.
Of course there are reasons for the stupidity, or ignorance. That doesn’t mean it isn’t overabundant in recent America.
This is an argument waiting to explode, keep your cool now everyone, none of this is any of our fault, at the verry least we are showing concern and right now what more can we do?
If you’re intelligent enough to acknowledge that it’s a problem, you’re not part of it.
i guess our kid. school should be option so we can get rid of the idiots…o wait…
HALF of those who voted in the last presidential election voted for George Bush, so there’s at least 50 million idiots right there.
Also, southern accents just make you SOUND stupid. You do find some intelligent people down there occasionally.
actually george bush didnt win the popularity vote, congress let him run the 2nd term bcuz they need him to continue the war in iraq
No one said it wasn’t a problem. But there is a lot of judging of people going on here, and that is a problem on its own.
Ok so you don’t have to watch all 3hours and 25min of that link I posted but you can listen to the first 10min while doing this. Go on, give it a shot… I dare ya!
A lot of people are stupid…and a lot are uninformed, ignorant, judgemental, and so on. the thing that bugs me where people in the U.S are concerned (not americans, because that includes more than just the U.S.) is that they have more access to knowledge than most, and yet choose to remain ignorant.
willfull stupidity is the worst.
Ok hang on, don’t attack the people willing to lay down their lives for you, they don’t decide where to go and they know more then any of us why they’re doing what they are and wether it’s just.
and , just because i noticed that anon said 50% of people voted for Bush, so that shows stupidity..did we forget who the other option was? and does anon really think that 100% of The people voted?
talk about the pot calling the kettle black, haha
Ahh watch my link!! at least so you can say I’m dumb and he’s wrong, otherwise we’re are talking in circles and circles and circles
anyone who forms their opinions based solely on videos from the Enternet( on purpose..Ent- as in entertainment) is a little stupid too.
this whole thing is kinda stupid, now that I think about it..I am stupid in a lot of ways, so what? big deal..life goes on. and no matter what the foriegn policy or the tarriffs on imports, I must still go to work and pay my bills.
Maybe someone could find some sort of chart that compares the states to other countries in terms of average IQ test scores. Until then, it’s all just opinion, and we should all remember that. No one wants to fight over this.
the results would be culturally skewed, Xeno.
if you are smart enough to answer this correctly, then you will most likely be okay:
knowing that putting your hand into an open flame hurts, should you keep doing it?
I think you need to know a bit more than that to vote responsibly.
H-Dog, didn’t I say youtube was the root of all evil?
the few things i didnt like about americans,is,when i watched the floods in new orleans dead bodys floating past and nobody i mean nobody tried to fish them out after days, another thing was the prisoners in bagdad jail urinated on kept them like dogs on leaches be carefull america it will hout you!!
No one said we were.
sure, Xeno, you need to know a LOT more, but in the real world, who has the time to really devote to a true understanding of political theory, sociology, and full understanding of the ramifications of all policies possible?
Aks, about that hand in the flame question, it depends on what’s in it lol.
AH, stop bashing the states it’s what they want, aknowledge the enemy and unite against it!!!!!
ur right not all of us r bad, but alot of us are conceited and only think about ourselves
That’s fine, but people who are content with that needn’t vote, Aks.
What enemy, Four? Who is threatening anything?
again, Xeno, you are right..and I really hope NO ONE votes based on youtube videos or who Alec Baldwin endorses, haha
but, what do you think most average voters base their votes on? the actual policies? how many know a candidates actual policies or platform…hell, do any of them even remember what a plank is, in regards to politics?
Well, I’m really not learned enough to explain correctly but basically the secret orgaisations operating behind closed doors, and I DO NOT mean the Iluminati thats only scratching the surface
there is no secret orginization, there is only the mega businesses…G.E. Time warner..the giants of industry control the world, non-partisian, non-patriots..just power and money, and a lot of smoke and mirrors.
What is that video, Four? I can’t watch it right now.
Who controls G.E. Time warner? People thats who, who are these people?
It’s Michael Tsarion, he does speak alot about spirituality but the start is mainly politiks, verry interesting stuff
I can send you an audio file of it if you like? Or post it up somewhere more accessable to you?
slimline2: your comments are indicitive of why people “Hate Americans” and not only our government. You refer to actions committed by our troops (who were under command and supervised by higher authorities in the government) and to no one pulling bodies out. Well, we were kept out of the are by our government (FEMA) to reduce further injuries and deaths.
I think this is the problem right here. There is a myth that we Americans as the first “Democratic” nation have a truly democratic nation.. that our government was purely elected and that the officials representing our country represent us.
First of all, nobody wants the job of a politician so nobody without an agenda (or a brain) runs for office. Secondly, because of the party system and state govermnets we dont have the ability to have a centralized or focused (meaning smart) government taking correct actions.
Yes that video showed people who chose not to know important facts, but the real problem here is people (here and abroad) choosing to group our government with its people.
Ak slog…
I never said 100% of people voted. I said half voted for Bush. It was actually 51% that voted for Bush. And it was actually 62 million confirmed idiots. Turns out I underestimated. Other choice? Anything would have been better than Bush (intentional, anything…a drugged monkey or a rock). A rock would not have gotten so many people KILLED. Anyone with the intelligence to remove themselves from a partison view could see Bush was bad for this country back then.
I stand by my argument.
No, my sound and video is messed up, and I’m fixing it right now, so I actually can’t watch. lol
Four has just proved to be an insightful person, in my opinion, by his very simple answer on another post.
if you study politics, as an abstract, not person by person, you will se the flow of policies goes forward no matter who is in office, and if anyone tries to redirect the flow, they are either silenced, or absorbed into the machine..simple, very simple.
I just stumbled across an insightful person and I’ve been trying to spread it around is all. Xeno I’ll hang on to it for ya ’til you get your stuff sorted out ;)
and anon has proved they cannot really be objective about politics. To say and mean a drugged monkey would have done better….it would not matter who was in office, things would have progressed the same way..in business, you fill a role, you do not make the role…you have to conform to the parameters of the position…no choices..gvmn’t is a business, and follows the same procedures, and only a blind fool could believe any different in this day and age..it is so obvious.
I don’t think that’s the same Anon.
you can never tell, haha
but why anyone would use the anon option in this discussion is beyond me anyway.
whoops, was i sounding stupid with my southern accent again?
cork county? I have heard rumors of this mythical place.
The country of Cork. They’re the world’s largest producers of cork products. They specialize in corks, there are corks everywhere. They pave their streets in cork. Their biggest export is apple juice.
but, to expand on the idea of business running gvmn’t..the EU, and the very real North American, Central American and South American Unions..which are mostly still in the planning stages, but are on the way..one of the biggest proponents of the NAU is the railroad industry, because it would simplify their business, even if it did violate the sanctity of many countries…so on and so forth.
and, on Cork, I hear the lasses are fair and kind, if a little short in dental hygiene.
lol the lasses are hot I will say that, there’s mediterainian blood in them and some have red hair ;)
It would have gone the same way?
Wow. That was an incredibly unintelligent statement. Nobody is saying Iraq would have turned into a picnic. But a different cabinet would have made many different decisions along the way. You are obviously blinded by a partisan point of view.
Okay, here’s a good test to see if Americans are stupid. If you’re an American, and you think Cork is a real country, raise your hand.
buisness running government? no no, Government running and governing buisness while being controlled by a 3rd party with it’s own agendas, ancient agendas at that
lol almost raised my hand.. oops
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ70Fe…
Red state mentality summed up nicely. Intelligence is a choice.
anon hhas recently learned the phrase “blinded by your partisian point of view” and will use this as often as possible..I do not think there is a point to it Fourth.
i am scared that the fbi will get me, and you are blinded by youtube and your partisian politics so you are safe from the Bush-monster…
I am lucky enough to be able to blame all these complicated problems on just one man..lucky me, it makes life so much easier to be able to lay the blame and walk away…yay for anon
I think the problems are:
Corrupt 2-party political system
Ignorant religeous people
Bush is just the beneficiary of the first and the face of the latter
corrupt..sure..how do you fix it? how would you do it different?
I see a LOT of critique, but no amswers or suggestions.
If the solution were so easy that we could find it, there wouldn’t be a problem.
right..but we continue to bash everyone in power, and never want to admit that it MIGHT be a hard spot to be in.
No one said it was easy. But when a leader doesn’t listen to what the people want, they’re not making the right choices.
At the moment all bush is, is a skapegoat, I do not envy that man he’s about to be hung out to dry, I must admit I’ll crack a smile as he dangles but I do pitty him. The solution is findable but hidden well, you have to look far back at our past and think hard. Who was the states first formidable enemy? Who does the states power threaten the most? Power is not so easilt given up.
try running a company, or talking to someone who does, and you will see..sometimes our hands are tied, and we look like the bad guy no matter what we try to do..now, some are bad, but there are a lot of people that got into politics to try and help..but they get buried in the crush.
And, when is the last time that you or anyone you know wrote to or emailed you gvmn’t officials to let them KNOW what you want..I hate the passive aggresive stuff…like on here, about Rich Hills…lots were upset, and some of us tried to tell our “leaders” how we felt, but many of you said “shhh, that won’t help”
so, i guess the Leaders have to learn to read minds, or just get there info from the enternet too.
With the number of people that protested the war, I think the people’s opinion was pretty clear.
but there was an equal number that sup[ported the war too.
Do you really think they understood the issues, or do you think it was blind patriotism fuled by 9/11?
I saw more people with support our troops signs in Ft Myers than I saw down with Bush or war signs…but again, our leaders are supposed to get their info by osmosis?
come on…when is the last time you wrote to your gvmn’t official
Ha! Anyone with half a brain new it was a stupid idea! And the whole world protested including me
I protested.
Write to your local official you mean what Arnold Schwarzenneger or someone? lol
Or maybe the president’s brother?
Partisan: an adherent or supporter of a person, group, party, or cause, esp. a person who shows a biased, emotional allegiance.
There really isn’t a movement as of yet that people like us can get involved in to better our world, there may never be
wasgoing to call..thanks Ken..
I was unaware that one of my empoyees was having home problems, even though it was super obvious to everyone else..i was so caught up in my workload, ya know?
but after he came to me, and explained the problem, i was able to work to relieve SOME of his pressure at work..for a while.
he came to me, he did not count on the fact it was obvious..hell, it could have been on CNN and i would not have known, or believed it, until he came to me himself.
if i cannot make you guys understand at this point, then it is useless to go on
here’s what i’d like to know; why is it that everytime people go ask people in america questions about history, or whatever they always seem to choose the stupid ones to ask?? it makes people think we’re all that way.
and onther thing, whenever i read about a poll about some issue, i always wonder
i wasn’t apart of the poll! so how they know that this many percent of people in this country feal this way, or that?
IMHO
If, in life, you cannot remove yourself from a partisan (unreasoning) point of view, then all of your intelligence is wasted.
That is all.
They edit those polls/interviews to send a bios message…
I understand that its hard to run a buisness… But, you can’t compare it to being the president of the United States of America (the most powerful country in the world) It’s his obligation to reflect the want of the people. Now thats in a perfect world, he’s actually working for someone else alltogether, hence not giving a flying **** what any American cares.
Even if it’s edited, it doesn’t make those people smart, now does it?
most polls use less than 1000 people..i don’t trust polls.
Anon, I am not partisain, at all..I support the U.S. govmn’t to a point, no matter who is the face in the TV screen.
but i also take a low view of people that try to oversimplify the issues, or are so ignorant that they truley believe that all thes issues are recent and the fault of one person or group.
that, my anon friend, is being blind.
Ask a 100, 20 50 maybe 80 might be dumb screen those ones ‘cos we wnat dumb, doesnt no matter how dumb they are reflect the actual ratio of dumb/smart
also, polling companies are not well regulated at all, and throw out responses that do not meet the polls criteria..who determines the criteria?
the person PAYING for the poll…how you like them apples?
oh guys, would you be offended if i have lost interest in this for now?
I hope not.
There is nothing simple about this situation, and maybe the fact that me, an Irishman who couldnt give much of a **** how deep the hole you dig is, knows as much (maybe more) about the situation in your country. Stop talkin, start reading, ask yourself; Who are these people running my country? Where did they come from? Whats they’re history? What are the priorities?
I’m going to bed it’s late, take care all!
All right, I didn’t read all the replys, but I saw Ken’s, and I agree completely. We are ignorant, not stupid. Ignorant.
Personally, I despise Bush, think he is a moron and he couldn’t tell you how many sides are on a triangle. I can never explain why people voted for him.
Anyways, I really don’t think Americans are stupid, but we do need to work on learning some more. But then, so could everyone. Not all the countries out there are going to be brilliant, and I think because our stupid president is doing stupid things, we get called stupid. However, America did some really stupid things before now, too.
Anyways, Fidel Castro is NOT a singer, he is the leader guy of Cuba. A triangle has 3 sides, not 4 or 1 (and come on, what kind of question is that?). America pretended to help south Vietnam in the war, so we really didn’t have a lot to do with it. The north won. (This is a difficult and confusing war, though, so my answer is open to debate)
and Rebel flags should be a cause for a charge of treason, since there is no “South” anymore…sorry, Just hate Rebel Flags.
“REBEL SCUM”
The rebels have a right to their opinion. I don’t agree with it, and I think it makes them look retarded, but I’ll never say they don’t have the right.
I hope to christ you guys are’nt reffering to Irish politcs? We’re a peacful nation now
sure, everyone has a right to an opinion, but there is no confederacy, the war is over, the south will not rise again, and to show off a flag that was the symbol for discord and oprresion in this country is b.s
and your anon replies are also weakened by your hiding your anon help identity behind an anon avatar.
Aks, please don’t attack their name, just stick to the point. Their name has nothing to do with this.
no, the rebels are the southeners in our country. there still whining about the civil war.
and i dont like thier flag either. everytime i see it i feel like puking.
sorry any1 who likes it.
i did not attack, i stated a fact, as i see it..sure, i can understand posting about being molested as anon, or about a crime as anon..but this seems silly.
and i answered HOTSOX, so if anon wanted to answer ME, he/she has to accept what i say, or ignore it..his choice.
didn’t we agree that censorship is a backwards step?
oh, yay, off the hook, I know nuthin bout that crap *phew* Hugh Downes aawaaaaayyy!!
I dated a rebel girl once. We were pretty much opposites in every way. It was a very argumentative relationship.
Censorship isn’t the same as wanting to be anonymous. Just drop it, it’s irrelevant.
i dated a lot of girls that thought they were rebels..
from here on out on this post, anyone replying anon is a Lord of the Rings geek…so it is written, so it is said.
That’s mature.
haha… I don’t respond well to orders, man…what is up your butt about how i talk to anon anyway?
i don’t like being “instructed” on how i should express myself..
it rubs me the wrong way
Xeno, by censorship, i meant you trying to censor how i responded to anon.
There’s a difference between censorship and requesting that people stay on topic.
take the whole thing in context, Ken..not out of context.
Okay, I got completely confused (must be my American in me! hehe) so I was just trying to answer who won the Vietnam war… Alright, I should have just pretended to know what was happening, but I already typed this. Ignore me everyone!
and, is there a new arbitrary rule that states all discusions in a post will pertain exactly to the original post? i must have missed that newsletter
Fine, do what you want if it’s that important to you. Excuse me for trying to be productive.
Fourth, there is no way for me to lose face here..I have nothing to prove on this site anymore..points i would like to make, but nothing to prove…you all have the freedom to ignore anything you do njot agree with.
and if any of you are angry, sorry..and if you think i am, then you do not know me at all
i gotta go to work, for chrisake…this site is the devil, I think.
sucks you in, won’t let go.
and i am chatting on yahoo too..I am a victim of the technology age.
lol I know the feeling it’s 3:14am here, nice speaking with you all, I have learned from you and for that I will leave happy. Good night!!
I am very tall, and my study smells of leather and mahogony..good nite.
I would agree most Americans are stupid. They are fat, lazy, and uneducated even while holding many degrees ~snickers~.
Anything on the media is BS too, they took the stupidest people they could find to make fun of America…I am sure they got plenty of right answers but chose to do their dig for fun ~smiles~.
Americans iritate the hell out of me. Most the ones I know or have met are superficial and ignorant, nor do they have any desire to educate themselves on worldy matter, however they can tell you who won American Idol 5 years ago ~sighs~
America is the modern Rome and like Rome we too shall crumble under our arrogance and bullying ways!
You know, OccultPizz, if you were from anywhere but the US, I would hate you right now. I realize this post asks for your opinion, and you gave it, you could have at least softned the blow! (Not that it would change anything other than what we read)
Let me ask you this one thing. If you ask someone how they are, and they say “fine,” what do you say/ask next?
An Undisclosed Location | 2 years, 4 months ago (3 hours, 6 minutes after post)
bait
Sorry, I wouldn’t really hate you, that came on a little too strong…
“Let me ask you this one thing. If you ask someone how they are, and they say “fine,” what do you say?”
I am usually the first to say hi in a nice happy tone, but most people look at me like “what the hell do you want from me?” Why do they act this way? I would say perhaps 1 in 20 people actually come back with a non-preset answer. They are the few who talk to me without judgment or illusions. I love when I meet these people, but I am not impressed by the majority of cattle-minded drones who suck off the media trough like a starving pig ~smiles~.
I try and judge everyone individually, but as a whole America and it’s people sadden me :(
me, ill take america with all its ignorance.
hey occult, i do know the blob theory… generally. i just didnt want to try to explain it. string theory was just easier.
Aye, the string theory is awesome. Back in the 70’s we called it the universal fabric ~smiles~.
Aye, and even though America is filled with lost sheep. I would definately chose it over almost every other country except Amsterdam, Canada and Belgium. Our countryside surely is one of the most beautiful and productive in all the world ~smiles~.
Alright, all people’s rudeness when you ask them how they are aside, what do you ask/say to them if they answer fine?
I know you disslike America and it’s people, you commented as such strongly.
Generalizations are the problem. Any generalization is a problem; whether it is Americans making them about others or others making them about Americans.
Few things are as black and white…
Definition of stupid:
1 - Slow to learn or understand; obtuse.
2 - Tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes.
3 - Marked by a lack of intelligence or care; foolish or careless: a stupid mistake.
4 - Pointless; worthless: a stupid job.
US?
1 - sure, sometimes, could be said of ANY group of people in ANY country in the world
2 - ” “
3 - ” “
4 - ” “
Countries are made up of many people, not just stupid ones and not just smart ones. In the same country where you find the smartest person you could find hundreds of incredibly stupid people. There are a lot of ignorant people EVERYWHERE and a lot of VERY intellegent people there too ~ even in the small little world of help.com ~ don’t look at just one side of the story. And there are differnet levels of intelligence as well, don’t forget that. Don’t put everyone in a box and don’t stereotype people! Just because someone doesn’t know the answers to all those questions doesn’t mean that they are not incredibly talented or amazing in another way or in another area of life.
I’ve written politicians on many issues–letters, emails, and even made a few phone calls. What replies do I get? Form letters that say things like “Thank you for your letter regarding this matter. We value your opinion…”
…And then proceed to explain, in politician-speak, that it really doesn’t matter what I want, they are just gonna do whatever the hell the corporations tell them to do.
I have very little faith in a “democratic” system that will allow corporations to pretty much usurp the executive branch and put their puppets in charge so they can get away with murder in the name of profits. The government is meant to be afraid of the people, not the other way around.
True, but at what cost? They are often incorrect and flat. If the core of bigotry and prejudice is ignorance, should we are be trying to educate ourselves past our pet generalizations?
I agree WantMore… Just because I live in TN some assume I’m an uneducated redneck with a terrible accent and live in a trailer park. So not true.
You anonymous posters need to grow a pair and write under their own name.
This post makes me sick.
I honestly don’t know one person past puberty that couldn’t answer all those questions correctly or at least make a **** good guess. Maybe its just that the people I know are well educated and just plain superior? Freakin doubt it. This is rediculous. For that video to have any weight you would have to interview thousands, and we’d need to see their answers to EVERY question. Editing much? If those few people on that video will convince someone we’re ALL idiots, would a video of a bunch of random Americans getting questions right convince you we’re all brilliant? You qualifty yourself as an idiot for those heinous generalizations. This is pathetic.
–another American idiot–
I say lots of PEOPLE are stupid not just Americans lol
countries beginning with U
USA
UK
Utah - No! Not a country, a state
Yugoslavia - No! Begins with Y
-another clever Brit-
crestfallen: What you say about your letters and phone calls not making a difference because of the response they got is not true. Senators and Congressmen are compelled by law to keep a database of all mail from their constituencies. Each letter, phone call, or e-mail represents a certain amount of people who they assume feel the same way about a certain topic in your area. For example, if you wrote about health care, depending where yo uare from they would record that 18,000 people (estimation) in your area feel the same way. . The more correspondance they get in one area, they more they act.. if they get an overwhelming response tehy will try to enter a committee or write a bill. If more people wrote or called, something might actually happen.
One of the ingnorance Americans (and other people) choose to have is the one that affects them most… about their own government
I love when people post something just to stir up a crowd. There is always that ONE person that takes it a bit too seriously and riles themself up over it. Everyone has their opinion. I’ve seen mind-nubming nonsense come straight from the mouths of many foreigners and Americans alike. Stupidity is a human trait, not an American one.
I honestly don’t think this post was intended to offend anyone. Stop being so defensive and just answer the d*mn question. If the post offends you so badly that you have to come and post on it to let everyone know just how much it sickens you, then you’re not helping, your just antagonizing. If you don’t like the post, ignore it, don’t attack the poster for asking a legitimate question. No one is trying to stir up a crowd, and no one is attacking anyone. It’s just a question for your opinions, not your righteous judgement. And why this crusade against the Anon posters? No one knows who anyone on here is anyway, it’s all pseudonyms. So why do you get so bent out of shape when someone picks a pseudonym that just doesn’t happen to appeal to your delicate sense of what’s acceptable and what isn’t? It’s irrelevant to this post, it has no reason to be brought up, just DROP IT and get back to the point of the post. If you can’t do that, unsubscribe from this post and leave the rest of us who are able to discuss things like adults without throwing a hissy fit.
as an american, i dont think we’re stupid, just ignorant to anything besides ourselves. we as a country are so self centered when you think about it.
Yes, I agree with stk3650. But all countries have there flaws just as people do, Gos knows we Irish have the odd flaw lol
That is so funny lol but what you have to remember is that you ask those questions in any country you will get probably the same answers and im from UK lol
I live in america and say, Yes… as well in every other counrty theres “stupid” people every where.
often i thought this about me leaving germany ,achtung dummkopf!dummkopf!not so much
as being dumm, but arrogant! but i guarantee you, asking the same questions in germany you would have gotten different answers
Ha! I liked the dig at Europeans, pretty funny lol (I’m assuming someone involved in this post was being ironic) And yes we’re all dumb and smelly and hate americans! lol just kiddin
This post seems contrary to the whole site…
Xeno, there IS no ******* point to this post.
Its only meant to insult millions of people needlessly.
Says who? Just because you want to think of it that way gives you no right to come in here and insult the poster. There is a point, you simply choose not to see it. It has been stated several times, if you’d read the posts instead of jumping to conclusions, you’d see that.

Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. Get over it. Since its not seen your way its invalid? What is the grand hidden purpose to this post? All Americans will suddenly realize their ignorance and stupidity and snap out of it? Seriously?
Alright, alright.

For those who find this insulting, to be blunt, get over it. This is NOT every American, and to be honest, these people are probably very skilled or talented in some other aspect of their lives.
For those who can see it as comical and heavily edited to show the few really dumb answers, I applaud you. That’s all it is — comedy which capitalizes on the fact that not every person can know everything.
For those who think this is an American problem, it’s not. You could do this in any country. Simply because no comedy show has done the reverse doesn’t mean it would be any less possible.
With that, I’m going to close up this post.
Jeff closed this post: Enough.
