“Pay it Forward” –In Need of Assistance

I am behind on my student loans of about 12,000.00, I have two broken teeth, and I am behind on my rent of about 800.00.
I have sacrificed everything I own (TV, Computers, Electronic devices…etc.) to try and get out of this debit on my own, but it is not good enough. I basically have a bed, my two dogs (which I am looking to surrender to a rescue group soon due to not being able to afford boarding costs), and some kitchenware. I would get a loan to consolidate this, but I cannot due to my poor credit history.

I am a 33 year old single man who has a professional career in IT, and I take full responsibility of the poor financial decisions I made in my life excluding the past year. I found God and through Him, I have been correcting my ways. I would like to be at financial zero for once in my life rather being in the red all the time. I want to be able to save money for when unexpected incidents arise and to “Pay it Forward” to those that need more than I.

I am sorry if I offended you in any way by my post. I am just trying to use all the resources that i can think of. I do not know where else to go for this. Yes I did look into the website that the one person noted and I have filled out the applications

Unfortunatley those that I could go to are not in a situation to be helpful in this manner. I have my faith and trust in God in regards to these issues, and I know that in His timing that all will be well.

I figured I would at least keep trying to use any resource that i can rather than “roll over” and just let things get worse.

Hi Matt….. I have been in a similar situation…. and what I found…. was that God was desiring to build faith in me…. in the face of everything…. not so much that he was desiring to move all the negative situations out of my life…. but… that he was building faith.. in the middle of the situations…. he could remove them…. but.. in my case.. he choose not to… what he does not take us out of he take us thru…. and, although this may not be our desire… he does most things backwards from the way we think, belive or hope… but, then, he is God…his ways are higher than our ways…. he is never in a hurry… nor is he ever late…. if we are trusting in him… he will be there… for us… and I believe that is his most important goal… to build faith that is truly faith… in his children….
it also builds patience and perserverance in us at the same time….
