so when you read, it’s like your shoving it in their face…

Those people are illiterate idiots; treat them as such.

You sure seem to know some interesting people. Ignore them, if they are your friends, don’t tell them. But read anyway, and don’t be ashamed.

what do you like to read?

People envy others for the things that they find hard or cannot do themselves, so to make them feel better they choose to try and belittle the people the envy by name calling such as “nerd”, you will find these people later on in life doing the jobs that other people don’t and won’t want to do, and you will be in an office with friends, a well paid job and good family…. keep that in mind, as they say “what goes around, comes around”

OH i love dean koontz, he is such a good writer, stephen king is ok but i cant seem to follow the way he writes

Yeah …you said it twinkie …reading is a great escape. :) I used to read quite a bit when I was younger. Reading not only opened up another world for me …it gave me a head start academically in every grade and well into my college years. It also gave me the ability to try see what life is like from someone else’s perspective and strategies on how to deal with different situations. I am glad I did read as much as I could. I am still reading and still taking suggestions from friends who have read interesting books! Its not nerdy to want to know about the world around you… its truly admirable.

Ohh no, read - it’s good for you. I love nothing more, than reading a good book, playing every scene in my head, like it were a movie. Racing through the pages, because you can’t wait to see what happens next! Staying up all night, unable to put it down. In my head I’ll think “just one more chapter, then I’ll go to sleep”!

Don’t let anybody stop you from reading, it feeds your mind! WAAAY more than any T.V show ever will.

i love reading. i have read a lot of stephen kings, and i read every book that i can. i even read lyrial, and that was wierd. reading rocks!

no one thinks that i LOVE to read myself you seem young you’ll se when you are older how wrong you are ;-)

Reading is amazing.
If people tell you “omg you’re a loser you read” then they’re idiots.
Books are the best.

reading isn’t for nerds, there’s nothing like a good book to take you away from the turmoil of everyday life!

if u feel that then accept it and live with it, it’s never bad to be any thing, all u have to do is move ahead.

and f u don’ like it, try to change, or make it better any way, but u may need to accept it first.

people wont think you are a nerd if you read, i honestly doubt theyd care, but if they did at all they would think you are educated…nothing wrong with that ;-)
