I’ve seen it but not used it. I see it as the sort of thing (as I think Heather was saying) as a way to cite other references… i.e. Freud or Grocho Marx. Even to quote another member from another post. I’ve not used it because I forgot how. It’s the sort of thing you have to use enough times to remember it … and I don’t cite that much…. or at least try not to.

I think its a really good idea, although i am looking forward for the novelty to wear off from it at the moment as i have not used it yet but everytime you have a convo with someone they have a habbit of quoting everything back to you what you said as though you can’t remember what you yourself said lol so that can get a bit annoying but funny, i was in a convo the other day about global warming i think and that one was ful of quotes also so it made me laugh, but i supose when you get a new toy you have to play with it

1…….Is it rely needed…

If you are carefull how you word a reply or a post you dont need it…

Is it Just a gimmick….

Actually we had some users ask about making the replies on Help.com ‘threaded’, which would be a lot of work, software-wise, and we thought that adding a quoting feature might make a good compromise.

It’s a growing pain. After the “ooooo”s and “awwwwww”s wear off, it’ll get used more appropriately.

Jeff - do you think we should add a link inside the text of the reply, to the right side that says ‘reply’? Or add text next to the icon itself, like we did with ‘quotable’? I’m just doubting most users are going to see the option and use it regularly.

Sorry, this place is already tagged. You may edit it’s description in info window. If you don’t see any objects here then probably you have an old browser or specific proxy configuration.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
WHAT I HAVE TO DO AT PRESENT?
