Hello all.

I am a pro Metal guitarist. I rehearse at home ussualy on volume 2-3; My pro-stack goes to 10..
The neighbor across the street thought it would be a good idea to call the State Police on me and complain.
This was at about 4:45 on a Staurday afternoon. Funny thing is, He likes to snow blow his drive way with an inch of snow at 3:30 am.
Anyway; The juvenile Troopers showed up screaming at me like Nazis. For nearly an hour I listened to this disrespectful nonsence from the two overgrown boy scouts seeking a gold star until I finaly told them to get off my property and a whole lot more. However; I contacted the barracks and had the sergent on the phone listen to their incesant screaming because I played my guitar on almost volume 3.
The sergent was mortified and told me I had every right to file a complaint which I did. Now the matter goes to internal affairs and to I believe Ethics and Tactics Division.
I would like to know if their is an attorney out their to file a civil case against them for Harassment, Discrimination and abuse of power. These Rookies really crossed the line as they practiced intimidation and screaming along with other threats against me. What say any of you? Love Music, Hate the Musician!

Thanks for responses. My home is sound proofed as best as possable with all new double glass windows. 2,000. Stack is just plain mean; it doesn’t have a headphone jack, It is meant to destroy! That is why I am as considerate as I am. No louder than a lawn mower and I am haveing Decibles read. This wont really matter in court though because we have no noise ordinance out in the middle of the country.

I think the tape recorder will tame things down abit as I exspect the harassment to continue. Funny that his wife can work from home; Dirt bikescan race up and down the street screaming their engines but My working from home is a problem. I almost never drive so I shall not worry about retaliation from troopers. I really just want the right attorney to handle them all once and for all so my harassment can end. As I told the big mouthed police in aand absent of noise law.. You will never stop me. I will just continue to file harassment and civil charges against you; Because I do have the right to work from home.

While I may sound intolerant; This is due to their idotic screaming along with the fact that when my identity was stolen and charges were being made in my name, They did nothing at all;… even when I proved to them beyond any dought who was doing it. The crime was under 400. I was told. …… The State Police know who I am now!!!! Now if they would just not send Laurel and Hardy with a gun…

Maybe he just doesn’t like your brand of music. That does not give him the right to call the police. If there are no ordinances against the noise and state police have cleared your ability to work from home then technically he is harrassing you.
I’m not sure what your attitude is about all this but if you are looking to difuse the situation you may want to consider swallowing your pride a bit and simply turning down the volume to a reasonable level. My son is also a professional metal guitarist and works here in my house. He sometimes practices when I’m sleeping and I never hear a thing, because he is respectful about the volume.
You can’t expect respect to be given to you if you are not willing to return it.

Good luck with your court case
Allen
